******* and ****** ******* paid CSM construction for replacement windows for our home. These windows were never ordered. CSM claims, and Missouri state registration claims an address of **** ******* *** ** ******** ** ***** for the principal place of business for CSM Construction & Restoration, Inc.. The latest registration report lists the president and secretary as: **************** ***** ** ** ********* **** *** ******** ** *****. In August 2022 we asked **** ******* of CSM to bid on replacing 4 windows at our home. On 9/9/20, he emailed us an estimate for window replacement, warranty information, and a quote for the windows from *** ******* ***. *** *****. **** said they needed a deposit of $2,800 to proceed with the order, that expected delivery would be in two months, but probably nearer to Christmas. We wrote the $2,800 check on 9/11/2022, and I hand-delivered the check to the owner at the ******* **** address. CSM cashed the check on 9/12/2022. Subsequently, **** has not been very forthcoming about delivery, not responding to phone calls, and when answering, saying he would check into delivery. But he has not given us any information on delivery dates. On January 5th 2023, I called *** ****** to ask about the windows. The next day, a representative of *** ****** called and said that CSM had received a quote for windows, but no order had been placed. I asked him to double check, and there had been no order. At this point, I tried to contact CSM directly, bypassing ****. The call box at their local number( ***** ********* is filled; the *** ****** is either not working or directs callers to sales of medicare devices. The ******* **** address, while having a small front for CSM, has no CSM equipment except an abandoned truck with a partial number for ***** ***** **. I have to conclude that CSM as a company no longer exists. Since no order was placed for windows, we will never receive our windows. We want our $2800 back.Business response

We did move because the owner of the Company passed away in March and had to cut expenses. I apologize that this has come to this. Our ********* was working on new business to keep running the company after the Owners passing. The office was not aware that our ********* was not working or communicating with the Mr ******* about the windows. The office thought he was taking care of our customers and was not aware that Mr ******* was not being taking care of. We are so sorry this has happened. CSM is working with his lawyer to get Mr ******* paid back. CSM is very sorry we were not able to take care of this job for Mr. *******.
