Worst NP ever. Allowed my husband to vomit for 2 hours while prescribing medication they knew didn't work. Finally, said I would take him to the ER in the same hospital to show others their lack of knowledge and empathy for the ill. Think they're a hematologist. Denied my husband Vit K for factor 7 blood disorder while an inpatient room 412 sacred heart hospital for 4 days. Was totally wrong in their explanation of the blood disorder to Alexis, the 4 East room 412 nurse on Nov. 2nd. Nurse Alexis tried to school us on Factor 7, but was completely backwards in her reasoning. Next time Google it for yourself. NP Chanci A. Mascelli works at night so she doesn't have to see the carnage, suffering, and pain they create. Incompetent, shouldn't have a nursing license. Works during the day at Panhandle Vascular on Creighton Rd for Dr. Roland and Dr. Watkins at Sacred Heart Hematology/Oncology while ignoring and experimenting on Sacred Heart Hospital patients at night. Performs unnecessary lab tests at your expense. Should sue. Another reason to avoid Ascension Sacred Heart. Going to the 4th floor at Sacred Heart is the same as going to die at Select Specialty Hospital, except they don't rob your room or try to steal your car at Select Specialty Hospital-they just drug you up, so you don't complain.

Billing: Billed my Vision Insurance for a Medical surgery showing I owed $103K plus $7k in Anesthesia billing (different company but also charged my vision insurance). How they got my vision insurance is a mystery since when I arrived at ER on 1/18/24 I presented them with my medical insurance card and info. I have been waiting for a rebill since my 2/14 surgery and find out that when they rebilled in early July, someone or persons in billing correlated my provider NPI numbers with my health insurance and now I can't get paid by BCN insurance for over three months now because they say I am out of network and that my group (mental health LLC) is affiliated with St. John Providence. They also billed twice for the 2/14 surgery and anesthesia and rebilled only half $54K of what the claims state. So was my surgery $103K or was if $54K? I have EOBs from March 2024 showing that my Vision BCN was billed and not my medical BCN. What kind of place doesn't know how to do their medical billing and who is working there that can just look up my information as a provider for BCN and not understand that this has nothing to do with my personal medical insurance? I am still battling with BCN as a provider to get paid. I have contacted the St. John liaison and filed a grievance and am still awaiting an answer for all this. I will be seeking civil damage remedies if not corrected.

I’m so tired of having and appointment and waiting all the time. Today was the worst. I was the last one called in for my appointment and it was an hour later. There were three technicians and other patients who had appointments after me were called in before me. They need to fix this. No one should have to wait an hour past their appointment to get an echocardiogram.

I think that there is something going on with the grants and money for the financial assistance program at Ascension St Mary . I have applied for the last 5 years with no problems or delays . Within the last couple of years St Mary have had new? People taking over and you now have to mail your application to a different place. I reapplied back in May 2024 I didn't hear from no one I called weekly for updates I got unanswered voicemail.I called different departments with no luck. The voice-mail says no one work in office that they work from home no one answered phone for 3 months. I recently went to st Mary on the lakefront and last week and spoke to someone. Who was in financial counselor office . She pulled up my application and seen that they said they wrote me August 5 th this is the same day I'm in their office. They sent a letter for more information. Please note that I had left a voice-mail earlier that whoever is claiming to work for the financial assistance program is lying the phone hadn't been answered in months and application wasn't processed. Also while I was in their office at St Mary the counselor look at my application from their system and seen all my paperwork was there. She then emailed the program and ask why are they asking for Information that was they. Let it be known I never received anything from the financial assistant program or a call back from the counselor who I talked to in person. I called again last Friday and got a voice mail with someone name Mary in the racine office I left voice mail and again no response. Today is August 18 2024 . Ascension St Joseph get on your job follow up with your employee that do the financial assistance program they are not working !! Be aware of your hospital terrible horrible reputation. Donors to the financial assistance program investigate where you are sending your help to. Clean house I'm sure money is missing from this unorganized program at Ascension.

Elderly mother in for urine culture, not steady on feet, I asked for a hat in toilet was told it had to be sterile & hat not allowed. Said I could go in & assist. I was not given latex gloves nor was there ANY real help. What do they do for wheelchair bound patients & family. Hand them a cup & say good luck.

Would rate less than 1 star if I could. Worst place I have ever been to and I was accused of seeking narcotics. I will never come back.

It is unacceptable that the Patient Portal is still down after 2 weeks. Either get on the people to get it fixed or fire them and get someone else. Your denying people their rights to view their medical stuff. I expect it to be handled ASAP and fixed to working order. 10 For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

I was tested for meningitis via spinal tap, and was refused the results because I used the words "law suit" when referring to my treatment. Absolute joke of a hospital.

This hospital is not very good at giving records when asked for them they say that if they could now they would. I lost a son their in 1991 and refused to get me a copy of a fetal birth/death record and now after 30 some years they no longer have the records cause they have been perged out of their system. That is a horible way to treat a mother who has lost a child.
