This company has been very difficult and frustrating to deal with. I hired **** ****(owner) to do a project in St. Louis County back in May of 2023. The house was a full rehab project that he assured me would be done in 6 weeks. I hired him to do the entire project excluding electrical and heating & cooling. After a 3 week electrical delay, we were scheduled to start the project on June 19th, 2023 It is now October 16th, 2023, and the only work that has been done is a sloppy paint job, some drywall patch work, and he removed the original flooring. I have reached out to *** several times, expressing my dissatisfaction with how long the project is taking. Each time, he gave me excuses, apologized, and told me that he would have the project completed by a series of different dates that have come to past with no noticeable progress. Now, **** **** has stopped responding to my calls, texts, and emails. After visiting the property recently, I have removed the lockbox and requested a refund. As of right now, he has not responded. If he continues to not respond or refuses to refund me, I plan to move forward with a lawsuit. This has by far been the absolute worst experience that I've ever encountered with a contractor. In addition to his lack of performance, ability to complete the project, and poor communication...he did not clean up after himself, one of the keys to my property was stolen, and I had to clean up bottles of urine, cigarette butts, soda containers, and other trash items after he stopped communicating. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

The customer has received a full refund. We did do a lot off work to the house. She did pay with a credit card and disputed the charges.  Our company policy states that no employee is to smoke or drink alcohol on any property/job site.

Things started off great did the roof. It became problems when we started to do the inside of the home. First the inspector was called out and the whole house had to be rewired which was not part of my Job nor in the bid that we agreed on. I paid for the electric to get done out of the deposit that she gave me and also bought light fixtures that she picked out though **** *****. She told me she would reimburse me that money of $7600. Once the electric was done i informed her that what i saw with the plumbing she would need more plumbing work that was in the bid. She then asked me for $8400 2 days before Thanksgiving so she could get a loan to be able to pay me for the electric plumbing and my other work once we were done. Once i told her no i could not do that because i had all ready bout materials and began to pay people for the work that had been scheduled such as i gave given the company  that were supposed to do the tuck pointing a $500 deposit and later she told me not to get it done this is were i became confused because we had a contract and now because i did not want to give her back $8400 she began to change lots of work from our contract she wanted to add on windows in which i never ordered because we never had a contract for the windows and i was never paid for them. I then received a email from her for my guys to stop doing all work until  she came in town. Once she did come in town had me to meet with a insurance agent. She told me she was trying to get the insurance people to give her more money so she would be able to pay me for my work. The next email she fried me. None of my workers are any one from my company never returned to the property to get any materials from her property. She had me buy $500.00 worth of extra paint that I was never paid for I have all emails and text. I all so have pictures of demo clean up work dry wall that was done and the roof that was completed months ago. As far as any of my family members in which she has never did business with are meet you are total out of line for putting anyone else name in here but mines. As i also explain when you pay someone to do a job materials and labor i do not have to show any receipts for the materials just get the job done. I can send in emails and pictures in i do not have them in this computer but in my phone

*** **** is lying we paid him 30,000 please ask him to send you that proof as i have bank statements to verify we sent him $ 30,000 which he failed to report 5,000 the agreement was 25,000 down. He gave credit for the 25,000 received by him however on the bid invoice he put 25,000 paid to him, the work ain’t done you did No demolition and if I have to get the remediation company involved who did the demolition I will. Also BBB I can give the receipt for the demolition also I can give you the receipt for the plumbing i sub contracted out it was paid by me. Where are my interior doors kitchen sink and butcher block countertops and 12ft ladder. I went to *** ****s for the 5700.00 in November 2023 we wanted back to get a home improvement loan, to be able to complete the renovation. *** asked us to let him check his books. I reached again about the 5700.00 he then sent an email saying that his board members denied the request and that we had no money left, also it’s my money. I could have fired you then and you still would have owed me. You committed theft by taking materials from my home you ignore calls and texts and emails to avoid us and this is why I filed a dispute against you and with the proper authorities Federal Trade Commission#********* Missouri Attorney General Attorney *************** and the Texas Attorney General Office. I am not done with you *** **** and since ****** **** is associated with your business I m including her legally. He received our but performed no work which is why I’m seeking justice. *** **** is and has committed contractor fraud and being will not resolve this. Yes you do need to give receipts for us to account for what was spent. So what happened to 50% down and the balance is due upon completion. You did no work and I got pictures time and date stamped and also the shorty roof job. We want our money you breached your time we allowed you which took close to 5 months. So let’s show the BBB the proof. The 8400.00 we never asked you for you have you amounts incorrect which is why I fired Black Brothers Flooring and More due to untrustworthiness and lack of skills and communication. I am giving you a chance to return monies owed. Also message to BBB *** left an 8 ft ladder and my husbands 12 ft ladder. Please explain that *** ****? I’m glad we re having this conversation because I have receipts and proof. You are digging a deeper hole for yourself. Thank you BBB for your cooperation in this matter.

I am very apologetic that our experience that our did not work out for the best. Me and my team put our best efforts forward towards your project. When the bid was first excepted by you the deposit  money was for all the materials and labor needed to get the job done. Once money was pulled for the electric with materials totaling $7800, that was never replaced. when electric was finish we began to drywall and put wall back together which was not in the bid. Remember they had to tear down walls to be able to replace wires. I never asked for extra money i only asked for money for extra work such as the basement needed frame work to be fixed. That was not in your bid materials needed to be bought and i gave you a bid your never responded to. I have text of the paint that you told me to buy from ***************** I sent picture's  of the paint and you said the color looks great, next you said you did not pick that color all 3 bedrooms had been painted with that color. You told me you wanted the house to be tuck pointed in the original bid, I gave him a $500.00 non refundable deposit then you tell me not to get the house tuck pointed. We were supposed to paint the basement celines black, bought paint and all you said to scratch it not to paint the celines. We were also to build a privacy fence we were told not to do that as well. Once the electrical rough inspection was passed we stared the dry wall were I realized the plumbing had been cut and caps put on the water lines. Once I spoke with Mrs ******* she informed me they had pipes busted prior to us coming into the home. After we spoke she decided she wanted all the plumbing done. She also sent emails telling me not to do any work until she came in town we meet with the insurance adjuster in which she was very upset with because she did not want to give the amount of money in which she thought  she was entitled  to for her home. In which it all so flood because the pipes bust because no gas was on in the home. We had very good communication before 11-17-2022 it was not until I informed her I could not return the $8700 for her to get some type of loan. I am also a investor I know that fees to come along with some types of loans and they take the fees out of the loan. I would never steal any materials from any work sites we work very hard to please our customers. I had plenty of long conversations with you guys about your project. If we had known from the start you needed electric and plumbing done we would have not took a dime of your money until they were done because we were to do all finishing work flooring painting install doors cabinets titling bathrooms baseboards. we could have done the bedrooms but Mrs ******* who was responsible for the purchase of the flooring never bought it.

I am rejecting this response because:
Mr *** ****s is currently not telling the truth. He and his team put forth no effort in completing my project. From September 2022 to January of 2023 no progression. He has not returned the 5,000 in which was not in our agreement. He wants to justify how the money was used and with faulty materials poor workmanship with painting failure to install the sump pump that I had to pay the plumber to do. You have caused the completion of the electrical work to be delayed. We are facing the expiration of that work because of you. *** **** owes our money. *** ****s bought materials only to let them sit. *** ****s can not complete a renovation project, walk away and keep the customers money only to not contact the customer to reach a resolution. I am seeking full refund along with damages for mental stress loss in wages and stolen and damaged items from my property. *** ****s took advantage of our kindness and trust. He did not return phone calls, emails, and texts. *** ****s you will be fully held responsible for what you have inflicted on my husband and I. I have reported you to the proper agencies as you committed to performing a job that you breached. I fired you on 1/25/23 and you still failed to notify me. I am not going to go back and forth on this because it’s lie after lie. Also let the BBB know that you reached out to me via email on 2/13/23 stating that you were not aware of the additional 5,000 until I made you aware. Another lie, I don’t know where’s you are getting 8400 from as we asked for 5700 of that money back in November 2022 for a home improvement loan and you denied that request. You had the access to our property besides the plumber and it was not him. I will tell you how I know it was you and your team is because the 2 foot ladder is gone and you left your 8ft ladder. *** ****s you lie and don’t realize you lie. Your accreditation should be revoked by the BBB or investigated as you took advantage of Texas residents.

I provided materials and paid a 1740 deposit on Dec.15 2022 and was given a verbal agreement that my flooring would be done in 2-4 days. The receipt is noted as saying job to be completed 7 business days after receiving deposit. To date the job is incomplete my materials are damaged and unusable, the tried to level my floor with underlayment, the tiles in my bathroom are already coming up, none of the flooring was placed flush so there are gaps near the walls, they were late everyday that they did show up and my house was left like and construction zone for days on end leaving me to clean up. While moving my stove the pulled it out without unplugging it and caused it to pop the breaker and burn out the outlet which I had to have replaced,. My main complaints about this company is unsafe practices, tardiness, shoddy work and missuse of products provided. Along with what I paid for a deposit I spent an additional 2375 for extra materials, repair for my stove and someone else to repair, replace, fix and finish the job they were contacted to do.

This a horrible experience for my company. Customer did not remove any furniture knowing that they wanted the flooring done. The changed what we were to do soon as we started. We were only to take up quarter round but as we started customers wanted two layers of flooring pulled up in the kitchen area. We did it that was a extra $800. Also we did a demo to the bathroom that were had not agreed to but we made verbal agreement of $1150 to demo the bathroom and up but boarder and trim. The materials got damage because the customers tried to lay the flooring there self in which they damage materials and laid in incorrectly so we had to take it up and reinstall it. We did not work on any electric so we did not damage any electrical box. Customer did not let us come back to do work I texted time and time again so we could come and finish work but got no response. Customer still owes balance of over $3500.
