On Sep 14, 2022 I entered into a contract with Masonry and Glass Systems to replace 5 windows and 2 patio doors in my condo. I gave a $4300.00 deposit. Fast forward to March 2023. I have not heard from the company and when I called to check the status I was told the company had been purchased by another company. I asked for my deposit to be refunded. The new company told me they were not responsible for any dealings with Masonry and Glass. I have called the owner, **** ********, who has not returned my calls. I have sent them a Demand Letter, the required first step of Small Claims court, stating why I believe my deposit should be refunded. My reasons are: the contract has not been filled in any form, I was not advised of the acquisition of the company, no response from the owner and my large deposit has been held in escrow for 6 months. I want a remedy for this situation.Customer response

I placed an order for windows 6/18/2021. Paid my deposit of $3,7000. I was told 3-6 months for delivery I called 10/6/2021 and was given an estimated deliver date of January 2022 I called 1/24/2022 and have been told the color wood trim I chose is not currently available and the supplier cannot give a date of possible availability.They basically took my money and forgot about me. They cannot give me options. I really would like my $3,700 back so I can order with a more customer service friendly company.Customer response

They did come out and install 6 of the 7 windows. The 7th window was supposed to be installed last Friday. Due to the weather, I requested they install it on another day. They indicated they would let me know a reschedule date. I sent a text to the salesman and asked for the reschedule date. He told me they would get back to me and they haven't. This is how the whole process has gone. I've had to reach out to them because I wouldn't hear anything from them. The salesman said he told me it would take a while, but that was never relayed to me until I contacted them. They don't address my concerns about the communication, they just tell me I was told it would take several months. The remaining window is a very expensive window. It's been sitting in their warehouse for 3-4 weeks and I'm afraid it is damaged.Customer response

The 7th window has not been installed. I reached out to them a week ago and the salesman told me I was put on the schedule. I told him I wouldn't be at home that day. He told me the secretary told him she called me and confirmed it. No one called me. If I don't reach out to them, they do not call me. We decided on May 19.Customer response

Yes, they did install the window. So far it looks good. I would never recommend this company ever. I've gotten no type of apology or indication that they would make sure this type of situation never happened again.
