I am currently on civilian/military orders at ************************** and I was staying at Studio Z, a local extended stay in St. *******. Upon my arrival I was having issues with the heater in my room. It was approximately 30 degrees at night and for several nights I was extremely cold. The management was not okay with me complaining and used the word complaining constantly when I stated the issues. It took nearly a week until they finally moved me to a new unit. All was good as far as I saw. My wife arrived in early March and on the morning of 28 March 2022, my wife went downstairs to get some water for my 1 year olds formula. The breakfast area was closed down before their closing hour and my wife spoke with an employee to get water. The employee became frustrated with my wifes desire to get water since the breakfast area was closed. She then stated to my wife Im so tired of dealing with you military spouses. My wife then asked for the corporate number to file a complaint. About an hour later I get a text message stated that I am no longer welcome at the hotel. Furthermore they spoke to the police to tell my wife that she needs to leave. I received more harassing texts to again leave. I never spoke or texted the hotel management, nor did my wife, any form of retort and my wife began a complaint against the management. We found a hotel and moved at approximately 8:10pm on the 28th of March and cleaned the room and I took a video of the pristine condition we left the room in. The next day the hotel claimed we urinated on the bed. I am a disabled veteran and it took me several trips to move causing me emotional and physical pain as I have been in the military for 13 years and I am an E7 in the Navy. I would never jeopardize my career for such a disrespectful accusation. Furthermore, the level of discrimination towards my wife as a military spouse was atrocious. I am currently fighting with the support of my Command to remove the fee they illegally imposed onto me.
