We hired this company to put in a new air compressor, We saw his sticker outside on one of my units. We had a back and forth of trying to get him out. We paid 500 dollars for shipping, handling and ordering of the compressor. After ducking me for about a week and a half I threatened to go to social media about my experience and then finally we had a date set for May the 23rd. He did indeed show up, he waited for his friend for about 45 minuets and then finally installed the compressor. May the 28th I get a message from him asking to pay him for labor of 720, which was never discussed before. I had never signed a contract. The freon to be put in was 288. I told him I could not pay such a large amount up front, I was asking about how he got such an amount and told me it was an estimate based on local business. I asked for a list of said business so I could also double check, I figured if this were the case it would be no worried to pay. He refused to provide such information. At that point all trust was lost and I told him I would not pay that amount. He is now stating he wants to pursue legal action, which, again, I did not sign a thing and no labor costs were discussed prior.
