I took 2 deer to the company one was small, and one was a large doe. I picked them up at 2 different times. Somehow, I got more meat out of the smaller deer than I did the big one. When I asked the owner how that could be, and the owner said he does not oversee the deer part of the business and that he could not help me. They also don't answer the phone. You have to leave a message, and they will call you back if and when they feel like it.Initial Complaint

This is a processing plant in which customers who have harvested a deer during Missouri’s hunting season can take and have their dear processed and packaged for a fee. It would appear as if this particular processing plant is skimming and stealing meat from customers. I am amongst the overwhelming majority of customers who have used cactus Ridge custom processing this year who received back less than half the amount of the deer they dropped off. I personally received back roughly 1/ quarter of what I dropped off for processing. It’s obvious they are stealing the meat. It’s beyond just poor work not getting enough cut away from the bone. It’s such a drastic amount missing it has to be going somewhere. They do own and operate a farm as well and a café across the street. While I cannot personally prove those assets are being used to hide stolen meet it’s certainly a probability as it is clearly going somewhere. Personally I would like my money back I paid a large fee which I was happy to pay for the appropriate work. 3/4 of the deer I dropped off for processing was stolen from me. I’m not alone and I believe something needs done about this processor.
