On July 3 2022, I booked a duck hunt with *** ***** ********rs for Jan 2023. They required 1/2 deposit($4200) to secure my hunt. I paid the owner ****** ******* via Venmo. 2 days before we are supposed to arrive for 5 day hunt, I receive a phone call from ****** saying they are going to have to cancel the hunt due to zero lodging and lack of resources. I said just refund my money then. I was informed that by ****** that they do not have it at this time but would have me my money by first of February. I still have not received my money and have zero response from phone calls, text and Facebook messages.Business response

*** ***** ********rs contacted the customer in question, *** ******, a week before arrival for his hunt and explained birds were not migrating into our area. Our business wants to ensure our clients have the best hunts as to avoid wasting money on an unsuccessful hunt. The client was given the option to reschedule the hunt at their convenience of date as all deposits are final. The client got upset, refused and wanted a refund. Attempts to make sure the client got use of his deposit were futile. As the conversation was going nowhere but hostile *** ***** ********rs had to suspend contact with this client and future hunts are no longer an option at *** *** *** ******* *** ***** ********rs opposes any form of coercion especially when it endangers the environment of one’s home or own well being. Was also told the reason for the cancellation was due to outfitter could not provide lodging at the time due to behavior of previous clients and had no place for us to stay not because there we no ducks. Was told I would get a refund by end of January which I still have not received. Basically the outfitter stole $4200 from me and refuses to pay me back.
