On 5/21/22 I went into MEA to get my daughter ********* ******** a Covid test for travel and ******* did not have my results in. Due to the results not being in I had to cancel our vacation on the 5/23/22. The nurse tried to get me a refund and the manager ***** sent the information in for a refund to the Louisiana office but I received a bill from ******* yesterday invoice number ******** in the amount of 100.00 for a service that they did not provide. I do not think I should have to pay the clinic 100.00 and I want it refunded back and I don’t think that I should have to pay ******* another 100.00 for a service they did not provide. The clinic has been very helpful but I just don’t feel it’s fair to pay and the service was not provided. My family’s vacation was ruined because we were unable to go due to no results for my 4 years olds test not being in. I lost a day of work because I had to explain that they would not allow us to travel. I lost money on our trip because I had to cancel. I sent the information to my chart showing where are trip got canceled and where I lost my money. I have three children that were disappointed to not go on a vacation and one that had a birthday to get ruined because we were unable to go on our trip. It’s not fair to me and my family. The travel guidelines are something that nobody has control over but they are the rules to protect others from Covid.Business response

As stated in the complaint, we acknowledged immediately this was not fair to charge the customer for the service and began the process for obtaining a refund. The refund on this account has been approved on July 7 and is in processing. The customer should receive the refund within 10 days from July 7. We attempted to call the customer to update the refund status on 7/10 and 7/11 with no answer, and we will continue to try to reach the customer with the update.
