We stayed at YRL for 2 nights, upon arrival when I checked in I was questioned that we have two children with us, which was yes, and that's exactly how I booked the stay. I booked through them directly, not an outside company. We were told to strip the sofa bed, and leave the key on the table when leaving. That's all that was required. We were barely there, so we brought pizza with us the first night. We tried to put the boxes in the outdoor garbages, but it was full and moldy, very bad smelling from someone else, it was not ours. It was late, so we placed the boxes next to the garbage. Our kids each got a toy on the way there, we live rurally, so this was a treat to them. They were opened there, and packaging was set next to the outside garbage. I looked throughout the cabin for an extra garbage sack, and there wasn't one, and it was late. We left the next day to our event, not once cooking there. We ate out at every meal elsewhere. My point is there wasn't that much garbage, but two toys from Target and MacKenzie River Pizza. We were charged $216 after checking out because we were told we didn't say we had children with us, which I'll provide my original booking receipt that states I did indicate that, and for garbage removal. It was the last guests garbage in the actual garbage, and 4 dirty forks, and 4 dirty cups. We were given zero check-out instructions about having dishes washed, or taking garbage with you when you leave, which to me seems crazy for a Vrbo/B&B. The owner basically said I was liar, and the booking was with her, so I'm super confused that she can't see 2 adults, 2 children. I tried to contact her about this complaint, she responded once, and now won't acknowledge me. This is very unprofessional, and basically she made up fees we had no idea about until we were gone. I'm concerned how many times she has done this in the past. Our family is very clean, and we had a Vrbo for many years, not once have I ghosted a customer.
