I emailed our pediatrician (who is wonderful) and got a phone call from the triage nurse who told me to take my son to the ** for his symptoms. I asked 3 times if the ** was necessary, as it was the middle of the day and we could have easily taken him for a normal office visit. She insisted it was necessary. I took him to the ** and spent less than 10 minutes with a Physician's Assistant who confirmed that I didn't need to bring him to the ** and she wasn't sure why they sent us there. Later that evening, our pediatrician responded to my original message and confirmed AGAIN that we didn't need to bring him in anywhere but could check in with him the next day at the office for a normal sick visit if we wanted. Recap: 2 Novant doctors confirmed that the ** visit was unnecessary. After being misinformed by a Novant triage nurse, and wasting time and energy in an **, we got a bill for $1,000. I had hopes that Novant would take responsibility for their misinforming, but at the end of the day it is a business that cares more about money than taking responsibility for their actions. I went through the customer care appeal process and was denied ANY deduction of the bill. So now, in addition to a $1,000 medical bill for NO MEDICAL CARE whatsoever, I also have lost trust in Novant providers giving me accurate information.

Dr. ***** ******* is very unprofessional he tried to deny me of getting lab work done and referrals to see a specialist in regards to my health issues. After asking Dr. ***** multiple times for lab work and referrals he finally did so and got upset with me and told me he rather be a doctor and not a writer. I am new to the area and dont know how things work here. Not one time did he talk to me about what came back on my lab work nor did he adjust medication that lab work shows my current dosage is way too high. He was fixated on me asking for a referral rather than being a healthcare professional. Dr. ***** also added to my notes that he asked that I be removed from his practice and that the visit was chaperoned which is false documentation I asked the lady at the front desk if she can remove me and put me with ***** who I was originally supposed to be with and it was just he and I in the room . He also stated that I demanded a referral with is also another false documentation. I do not appreciate how this doctor made me feel during my visit and will be taking this to the furthest extent. Other than the doctor the staff was very pleasant and the lady at the front desk was very helpful.

I think that when a patient is given a med that causes seizures when the patient file shows he's is on a anti seizure med knowing the new med will still cause seizures rendering the anti meds useless and the patient in fact did have seizures because of it.I think just a way to ensure I never go back to that er where I go due to my va disability emergencies And was flagged to never to come back move back to etc

Hello. My mother has been a patient since July 18,2024. We have stayed with her throughout the day and night. Her hospital room was not very clean when we arrived although the nurse assured us that the room had been sanitized after we asked for sanitary wipes. We wiped down her bed which had dirty spots on it. The wipe was very dirty after we, her children, wiped down the bed rails, buttons and etc. we also cleaned her counter which was very filthy. The remotes were dirty as well. Other than someone coming in to take trash out not once has the room been cleaned other than us wiping down everything. The floors are absolutely atrocious. I have never seen a room so dirty in what is suppose to be a clean environment.Furthermore, the equipment in her room was not working appropriately. Her recliner chair would not stay propped up and actually dropped her legs causing her to jerk while she just had major abdominal surgery causing her severe pain. We had to prop up the foot of the recliner with a trash can..absolutely unacceptable and unsafe to say the least. Safety is bare minimum for patients. The tv tray table does not roll and the trays do not extend. The sink in the bathroom fills up and is slow to drain. The hall ways are filthy and we actually saw brown liquid dripping from a patient as she was walking down the hall. They were still on the floor dried up late into the evening.Lastly, as we would go to the hall bathrooms downstairs near the lobby they were not clean either. There is also exposed electrical on the wall near the door which I would assume is not safe. To say the least the whole hospital looks and feels dirty. Definitely not something I would expect in a big city. Our local small town hospital does not look or feel dirty and I wouldnt expect this at a well known large hospital. Disgusting. Also, her care was minimal. No nurse came I. To make sure she was walking or doing her therapy.I gave 2 stars only because of one exceptional nurse, *****.

There's a serious issue with the business practices of Novant Pharmacy. They're under the impression that they can charge customers debit/credit cards before getting authorization to do so or even knowing if the patient requires any refills. They are relying on information from your initial order to assume that you require refills then have the audacity to charge your cards prior to calling and receiving authorization. I had an employee actually tell me that they're sending me medication I didn't need or request before even asking me if (1) I needed a refill or (2) request authorization to take payment. I never signed up for "auto fill" but yet they had me signed up and kept my card on file in their system without my knowledge. They're committing theft by charging customers prior to being authorized to do so regardless to if that patient is on "auto fill" or not!!! Just because I use their services doesn't equate to being bullied into purchasing medication that isn't needed at the time.

The Novant Health Ballantyne ER is the worst hospital ever. My husband went a couple of days ago. *************************** was the treating doctor. He got a chest xrays and got Dx with bronchitis and gave him some medication. His PCP called him to ask how he was feeling because they received his results. My husband informed them he was at work. They told him, he wasn't suppose to be at work because he had pneumonia. Now how in the h*** did they see this and he didn't. DO NOT GO TO THIS ER!!!! Just because it's in Ballantyne doesn't make it right. They need to be sued on this but I'll let God handle it.
