The spot I parked in was not marked paid parking. I tried to appeal the violation and they denied it.Review from Meagan M

Their entire service is a scam. I parked in a preferred parking lot and paid at the machine in the lot. I received a notice 3 weeks later telling me that I owe an additional $85 for "overstaying", however the machine stated that the maximum daily charge was $30, and the "overstay" was for 7 minutes. When I paid for my 2 hours that I was parked there it was a total of $20. SO their fee for 7 minutes is more than their daily total as well as more than their daily total PLUS what I had already paid. When I called to dispute my claim at their "urgent help line" the woman who answered, not only did not help but told me the only thing she could tell me is to read the letter in the mail. When I tried to discuss this with her, she said "Just follow the instructions to pay on the letter" and then hung up. I have never had an experience where a representative of a company hung up the phone while I was speaking to them. I would rather next time pay for a $100 **** to where I need to go than to pay "$20" for their parking. This business is nothing more than a scam trying to steal money from people who don't actually read what thy agree to.Review from Krystal S

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a monthly account with ******************************************* payment is debited from my account each month payment was just taken on 8/1/24....upon getting off from work I notice my car was not there I park in same gravel location ********************************************** nc that I park daily. I upgraded my car to a different year which I advised them when I went in their office about 2 weeks ago to get a replacement placard and they advise I could just update the tags later when I advise them I had new car same color make and model. Well on 8/19/24 my car was tow and they said it was paper tags and that the placard was not in car which is untrue my placard was there and the gentleman name ******* at S &L confirm with the pictures they have as well he escorted me to my car and saw the sticker was in rear view as well. I had to pay about 500 to get my car back which was absurd bc I pay $115 per month it's crazy that I even had to go through an appeal they are so money hungry...website clearly states if your updated tag is not on system you will be given parking notice I never received a notice they just towed my car when I arrived to get my car my car wouldn't crank so at this point I don't know If there's been damage that my car sustain car was in great condition just bought 3 weeks ago from mercedes dealership it seems like they just wanted to tow my car bc it was a mercedes and to get moneyReview from James E

I parked my car at this parking garage for around 23 hours expecting based on the signage that the *** daily charge would be $28. However, when leaving the garage, the final charge showed $67. I buzzed the help button only to be told that the $28 daily *** resets every morning so I was charged the daily *** twice despite only parking for 23 hours. This would still only come to $56 but somehow fees and tax raised it to $67. I had no other choice but to pay or be stuck in the garage. This is a very misleading business practice for a garage and an insane amount to expect people to pay for poorly maintained parking garage. The elevators for the lot smelled like a toilet and the smell emanated both within and around the elevator area. There didn't seem to be any security for the lot either. The only positive was that a live person was available when I pressed the help button while checking out, though they couldn't help with the outrageous price which was not well described when entering the garage.Review from Scott L

They are a predatory and unethical company. If there if I have ever seen in my life. Less than 10 minutes of being parked in a nearly empty lot outside of the establishment I visited with poor signage to add. I received an $85 ticket on a Thursday night after 11 pm. The person had to be watching me the whole time. Will never go to that establishment again and will do all that I can to never park in one of their lots either and will make sure to share my experience with people that I know who visit uptown to bebeware of this predatory company.Review from Harrison E

After receiving a parking violation I called Preferred Parking Office to obtain information relative to the discount notice printed on the rear of the ticket.I was mortified at the non professional attitude of the female representative that answered my call. She responded to me as if I was a bother to her for calling. She cut my sentences of before I could express the intended message. Her voice tone communicated that she did not have time to talk with me. She exemplified an absolute absence of people skills. If Preferred Parking does not want customers to call for assistance.....why have employees working as customer ********************** representatives. This is crazy!!!!Review from Ve M

This business is a complete fraud without any customer ********************** and takes every opportunity to rip customers off!I have a monthly subscription to one of the lots they managed, and they have been charging my same credit card for months for almost a year, until this month (9/1/23) when my credit card company decided to change the 3-digit CVV number on my card.I have never received any notification that the month charge was ever declined since Preferred Parking said they're trying to charge my card daily on 9/1/23 until today 9/6/23 and they confirmed that's their process (No notice to customer on failed charges until the 6th attempt). By the 6th attempt, they added $25 "return fee" on my monthly rate and refuse to refund this non-sense fee.My credit card company also said they never saw any charge-attempt coming from Preferred Parking (on the same credit card number, just different CVV)They Accounting and Manager insisted that that's their rules and regulations and they refuse to refund the $25 "return fee".This is completely absurd and the ********** should be investigating many of their fraudulent practices.Preferred Parking Service, LLC Response

The credit card batch runs from the 1st until the 6th to give all customers the opportunity for the funds to be covered. We do not notify the customer of their decline until the batch is completed. The $25.00 return fee was agreed to by the customer when they signed up for the monthly parking. The fee was correctly chargedReview from Moses w

The parking service stalked the parking lot literally looking for customers to bleed. I tried to pay via QR code and the system keeping taking me to their parking lot in ***********. Then I given a paper ticket for $35 for a two hour parking time. Totally unethical business practice. I mailed them a check for $13 dollars, wrote a letter to them, and copied the letter to ***************** and ** *********************** Just be fair is all we want. *****Preferred Parking Service, LLC Response

The ** code is a 4rd party application from Parkmobile, That same sign with the ** code gives a zone number that you can use to confirm you are using the correct location. The lots and randomly checked, and when parking is not paid for a violation is issued. The locations also have a paystation that you can pay for parking, and get a receipt printed.Review from Blaine C

I would like to file an official complaint against preferred Parking in *********. They are conducting an unsafe operation at a paid parking lot on the corner of ************ and ***************. Their parking policy promotes unsafe driving, and their kiosk payment system does not track paid customers. This company/outfit is a danger to everyone.Aside from the safety issue... they charge $$ for small windows of time... and the expiration times are at 11 PM and 5 AM. I paid twice: $34.00 ($17.00 twice) to park at the lot for less than 12 hours of parking, plus they are trying to collect $160.00 for a immobilized vehicle, which was not immobilized (no boot). They also wrote a violation basically 1 hour after I paid for the time to park. It is like their representatives do not check the records. This is a company that is designed around getting people to dispute their violations and make people fight for unfair business practices. I have already submitted a complaint to the ************** Council, and have provided the documents their ****************** required in a dispute. This company needs to revamp their policy... as I stated, they are putting people at risk, and I can't believe these kinds of business practices exist in 2022.Review from David F

Having no option but to pay for eight hours of parking is ridiculous. Im only parking for two hours. When I leave, someone will likely park in the same spot and have to pay for eight hours again. If I paid for eight hours, that spot should be mine for eight hours if I decide to leave and come back - yet they dont allow in and out parking. Seems like this kind of practice ought to be illegal, even though it probably isnt.
