In early June, the girls' gymnastics coach threatened to remove my daughter from the team. I requested a meeting and o have a conference with the coach and the coach refused to meet with me. So, I removed my daughter from the program. While separating from the program the coach said we owed tuition for 2 months after separation in the contract there is no prorated rates. I disagreed with the amount and terms. Before our time of separation we signed up for *** to attend Gold over America tour. Coach sent an email saying we needed to pay for the tickets because we signed up to go. I paid for the tickets. We were told they would contact us when they get the tickets. When I texted to inquire about the tickets I was told she applied the money for the tickets to the outstanding balance. That was never discussed nor agreed upon. The coach said she was able to use the money as she saw fit. I feel like this is fradulent. My daughter was excited about this event and I feel Coach continues to find ways to be punitive. She knew we didn't agreed with the charges back in June.

My daughter was in recreational gymnastics which started May 2023 and ended June 2024. On more than one occasion there were last minute communications of gym closing, rate increases, policy changes and efforts to change her from recreational to the team/competitive side which we werent interested in doing. ****************************************************************************************************** July since we had already paid for ***** We provided the withdrawal form that was sent only the day before. I also hand delivered a copy in person during the following class which was on 6/8. The owner then informed me I needed more than 30 days notice and would still be charged for July and that she would send the charge to collections if not paid. We were not interested in moving our child to more classes for more money than what we were currently paying and believe this is in retaliation of that decision along with poor business practices. We have since not returned to the facility after the unprofessional encounter on 6/8 and left halfway through the class. Requesting that the charge for July be removed, no attempts for any charges be placed with collections and no further communication.

In response to ************** complaint, I would like to address her comments. We rarely have last minute class cancellations. In the event we do, it's typically because of weather or staff issues, which are out of our control. Tuition is revised yearly based on inflation and if any we send out an email advising customers of the amount and effective date (see email sent on 7/1/23 re. last tuition increase). We offered to move her daughter to another class as she had aged out of the Preschool class. We provided multiple options for her to choose but she did not want to transfer, and we allowed her to stay in the class. Coach commented on her daughter being ready for team, with no pressure to transfer her to team. It was more of a compliment to her daughters abilities. She gave notice of withdrawal on June 6, asking to withdraw beginning of July.  The gym policies she agreed to when she registered her daughter states that she must provide written notice of withdrawal at least 30 days prior to the event, and that in absence of such notice, she would be required to pay the full tuition for the month (attached registration document and gym policies signed by ************).  The reason for this policy is that when a parent drops mid-month (which would have been this case) and does not pay the tuition for the month, that leaves a space open that the gym cannot fill, and thus we lose money.  Most parents comply with the withdrawal policy. Some claim ignorance when they do not want to comply. This complaint is full of baseless accusations. We are unprofessional because we tried to enforce the policy.  She did not like the information and made a scene at the front desk repeating she was not going to pay for July.  Gym policy also states that unpaid amounts are sent for collections and parents are responsible for collection fees. We stand by our position that we did not receive notice of withdrawal with the required advance notice, and therefore, July tuition is due.
