Date of Transation was 11/11/2022 ******************* owner of Handyman Creations came and gave me a estimate for some work I wanted done and we agreed on a price of $8200.00 of which he wanted half up front in Cash which I have should known better but I gave him $4100.00 of which he was to start work on May 8th, 2023. During this time I have texted called and messaged him on quite a few occasions and he never responded to my call until May 29, 2023 and we set up a time for him to come and talk with me about the job he was to come on June 8th, 2023 he never showed up, then I contacted him thru msg and he said he would be here on June 12, 2023 he never showed up , msg him again then he set it up for June 16th, 2023 and he never showed up I have tried to msg him back and he will not answer my msg. I feel I have been very understanding thru this whole matter have given him plenty of time to get back to me. So, I think now he just needs to refund my money because he has not done anything for the $4100 even. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. Because I am an elderly woman. I do have a copy of the contract.Initial Complaint

I had gutter work done on my house 11/10/22. He required a deposit then the rest of the money due up front. Fine, I did it. His men came out and did the work but the gutters are leaking, therefore useless! I've asked him multiple times since that day after 11/11/22 (1/17, 3/6, 3,10, 3/14, 3/24, 4/2, 4/3, 4/4, 4/11, 4/16 - through text, and 4/23 in person) yes. Multiple times in a row because EACH TIME he said he would come next day and I had to ask where he was. I. Want. The. Job. Done.Initial Complaint

Gave him a deposit of $3100 in March work to begin an August 22 on that day coworker cannot do the job he needed to talk to the owner *** said he would get the work done Monday, August 29 no show, he said h*** be there Wednesday I called Tuesday hes in ******* getting ready to take a cruise will be back the following Tuesday said to call his lead man *** no show Text him that Tuesday that I wanted my deposit back Wednesday he blocked notificationsBusiness response

You are absolutely correct! We are running behind just like any other business due to weather and lack of employees. On the other hand I was under the assumption that my associate had worked this out and was going to pursue work when we got caught up. I take full responsibility as business owner and will be happy to partial refund as we did perform work at complainants house. Further more she has 2 properties and had me confused cause shes in the middle of selling one property and could not make up her mind on what property she wanted work done at, one not being in the contract. Now that I cant get to her property shes selling in the right amount of time Im the bad guy!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Previously filed a claim on September 8 2022 complaint #******** This was his response to the claim: I take full responsibility as business owner and will be happy to partial refund as we did perform work at complainants house. I have texted him twice since his response and it goes ignored I believe he wrote that only to appease BBB and has no intention of issuing a refund as I stated the work he completed was putting one piece of molding in a threshold of a doorway In March he was given a check for ******* and BBB does have a copy of the signed contract and deposit received Word of warning he is putting himself out on ******** regularly, trying to get people to call for estimates once you get his estimate and he gets your deposit the job will not be completed If in fact he is so behind and short of help as stated in his letter to BBB why is he (past and presently) continuing to ask people to call him for a quote on social media such as ******** He is a scammer and a discredit to BBB I would like my money refunded as he said he would in his response to BBB

Refund is being processed which takes **** business days and it will be mail to unsatisfied customer. In records to me advertising my company is a part of business. Im trying to resolved this matter in a good matter but if this keeps up their a such thing as slander. I have many happy clients and will continue to go above and beyond to meet my clients expectations. Have a nice day!
