We originally got an estimate for our kitchen cabinets on 04/07/22 and the price was going to be $11,220.00, we weren't ready to start the project until June. ***** came back out 06/28/22 & we received an updated estimate $17,330.00. (Went up quite a bit in a 2 month time frame). On 07/08/22, I gave a check for $6,000.00 deposit. He was painting cabinets 08/23/22, we ended up compromising the original plan because he couldn't get it correct. He started bringing cabinets out 10/27/22. Doors came 11/22/22. We still are not using our cabinets. I messaged him 09/14/23 because I had already had several cabinets fall apart in my hands, doors falling completely off, screws in hinges ripping completely out. He came out 11/03/23 to "fix." He replaced all the hinges on all of the doors...then those hinges ended up not being able to go on some of the doors. He then put the original hinges on some doors and new hinges on others, some cabinets had both. I informed him this was unacceptable and he came back on 11/13/23 and put longer screws in the original hinges, said that's supposed to hold, but some already loose. He notched out around the new hinges and it looks like a toddler did it with a razor knife. He did not have any scribe molding around cabinets originally, he has since installed that since I said something. Our drawers are supposed to be dovetail and they are not. One drawer face was barely hanging on and his "fix" was caulk! Faces were supposed to be solid wood and they are plywood, one reason screws are stripping out. Paint is rough, not easily wiped off like kitchen cabinet paint should be. Several drawers are crooked. Does not look like a professional custom kitchen cabinet job by someone that's supposedly been in business for 40+ years. Cabinets hit each other & the wall when opening. I am trying to get estimates to see what, if anything, we can do at this point besides completely ripping out and starting over. We were cheated & taken advantage of.
