Maven replaced the front of our roof in November 2023. I recently noticed that some of our shingles are coming off. We reached out to Maven to have them come and take a look as it has not been 7 months since the work was done. Since they came and looked (about 2 weeks ago) We seem to be getting the run around. We reached out on 5/25 to get an update and were advised a ticket was issued but nothing else at that point and to call back on Monday 5/27. We waited until today to call them 5/29, and I was advised again that the ticket was issued but no scheduling. To keep my schedule open as they should call me sometime to schedule. We are putting our house on the market today and we have no resolution. This roof is not even 7 months old, and we should not be having these issues yet alone being pushed to the side to get it fixed.

In early September I signed a contract with Maven Roofing so that would give me a quote on a roof replacement because of Hurricane Ida promising that Maven would get the work to replace my roof once my insurance approved his quote. It took longer than expected but the last time I spoke to***** ******** she told me that my roof was in production and I didn't hear from the company again. I finally called the company and was informed that they no longer serviced Louisiana. No one called me or emailed or wrote a letter to tell me this, I was waiting on them in good faith that they were going to replace my roof. Had I known sooner I would have got a different roofer and would have started working on the rest of my house because my home is not habitable. They told me when I signed the contract that if I broke the contract I would be charged $3600.00 with that being said I feel that they owe me the $3600.00 for pain and suffering of not being able to move forward with repairing my home so that I could live in it once again. This is supposed to be a veteran owned company which is one of the reasons I decided to use them. I felt that I could have trusted a veteran, apparently not. I want it known how dishonorable this company is. They had my hopes up that my roof would be replaced and I would be able to start working on the rest of it. Now I have had to find another roofer which not easy in the disaster area, to get my roof done. I just hope that no one else get screwed over by this company. Thank you ***********

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/16) */ The Customer signed a contingency agreement with Maven that stated Maven would have the opportunity, if accepted by Maven and the scope of work was approved by the customers insurance, to perform the roof repairs for the Customer. Maven worked the claim on the customers behalf increasing the amount they were paid out by the insurance by thousands of dollars. The homeowner was not billed for this service, Maven performed this service free of charge. Maven is not contractually obligated to perform the work ***** references. Furthermore we were informed they already found another roofer and were taking care of the roof. Maven is not contractually obligated to perform the work and the scope of work was not determined at the time the contingency agreement was signed. We fully fulfilled our obligations and to document and submit documentation of the damage at the customer home. These services were provided free of charge for the customer.

During May 2021, I became affiliated with Maven Advantage in hopes of getting my roof repaired. I have the original contract that was provided to me with the first sales representative (********). I have dealt with different representatives, two of the representatives are no longer with the company (******** and *****). I provided ***** with a payment of $5,500 as a down payment. I have made it known to all representatives that I was not paying in full for a job that has not started nor completed. Maven wanted full payment before the work began, which I disagreed to. I was introduced to another Maven rep. named ****** and ****** led to another rep. ******, in which they both stated the first initial quote was the incorrect quote. This is the reason the company wanted full payment beforehand, I would be obligated to pay more. ****** and ****** wanted me to pay an additional $300 along with the deductible in order to get my roof fixed. ****** and I were to touch base after Thanksgiving. I never heard from him and when I reached out the number was no longer in service. Today, December 27, 2021, I received a voicemail from a different landline or mobile number from***** indicating that the materials have been ordered and payment has not been received yet and that I need to touch base with her, or she is going to send a cancellation invoice to my address. I contacted***** and she gave me a couple of options; I could pay to get my roof done or cancel my contract and I will be charged a cancellation fee. I told***** that I was not breaking my contract, by law they are liable to repair my roof under the original contract. However,***** says that they don't have a copy of the contract. If Maven does not want to repair my roof, the down payment $5.500 needs to be refunded in full.***** was still acknowledging that there was going to be a cancellation fee. Maven Advantage would like for me to pay more money and I am not agreeing to spending more money.
