On 3/20/23, I signed a contract for work to be provided by this company, to perform prep work, and pour a concrete slab for me. I gave them an $8,000 deposit that was deposited on April 4. However, on April 12, at the end of a terse phone altercation with the owners wife/office manager, I was told that I would no longer be their client. I sent a text to the office manager the next morning, requesting that they reconsider their decision, considering that up to this point, our relationships had been amicable. I felt that we could easily work out our differences. I was told that that would not be possible. I was also informed via email, that I would receive a full refund, and all equipment, materials, wood forms, as well as gravel, would be picked up from the job site that week. I did not read the letter, until April 14, as I did not check my email til then. It was at this point that I requested that the wood forms, footings and gravel, all be left in place, in lieu of any refund. I was then informed that the company workers had already been to my property, removed all wood forms, filled in footings, and removed their equipment. I then immediately went to my job site to find all wood forms had been removed, and the footings filled in. There was still gravel there, mixed with dirt. They did sent a refund check, minus $1700, as they were not able to retrieve the gravel. My issue now, is that since I had under slab plumbing placed, during the slab prep process, it is now much more difficult to hire a contractor to work around the plumbing pipes, and also to now re-establish the building corners, since they are gone, after footers filled in. The plumbing had been placed according to the flagged corners of the building that is to be built. I sent a letter to the company, on May 6, requesting that they present a plan to me, to remediate the damages. I have heard no response back.Business response

We always kept **************** up to date on any important updates concerning this job via e-mail or text messages. On 4/12/23 a call was held between **************** and the office manager where **************** was informed that the concrete pour/delivery scheduled on 4/14/23) would need to be rescheduled due to the weather forecast calling for rain as well as some preparation of the job site still needing completion. Throughout this interaction, **************** became irate and her behavior was out of line. While we do understand the frustration of the set back as we too were experiencing changes to our schedule due to the inclement weather there is no reason for disrespect and that is something we refuse to tolerate. Unfortunately, later that day I made the difficult decision to withdrawal from the project. It wasnt until after this was communicated to her that she then tried to compromise but unfortunately as stated above our company refuses to tolerate the level of disrespect shown by ****************. On the same day via phone call, she was informed that we would pick up all equipment from the job site along with all the materials and would leave job site as it was prior to starting job without compromising any of the plumbers work . She was informed this would be done by the morning of 4/14/23 and once completed her deposit would be returned . On 4/14/23 in the morning the crew was at the job site and all machinery and material was removed from the job site with an exception of all the gravel. The gravel was left on the job site because Ms. ******* contractor had dumped dirt all on top of it and I could no longer use it due to it being mixed with dirt . On 4/17/23 a refund check was mailed with the amount of $6,320. She was informed that the only charge that was charged from her deposit of $8,000 was for the amount of $1,680 which was for the 24 tons of gravel that was purchased and delivered. It was also stated that no other labor, machinery and delivery fees were charged.
