I contacted the owner of Kai-Renovations (*****) about doing some external and internal repairs on my home back in September 2023. We communicated via email and text message about the repairs I wanted done. On October 3, 2023, ***** came to my house and took photos of the areas I wanted repaired for an estimate. On October 9, 2023, ***** sent me an estimate via email. The estimated total was $1606.05; however, a deposit of $321.21 had to be made for services to start. I reviewed his estimate and paid the $321.21 deposit. On November 3, 2023, ***** sent me a text message saying he could be at my house on November 4, 2023, around 10:00 a.m. to start repairs on my home. He did start the repairs on my home as promised on November 4 and continued the repairs on November 5, 2023. ***** did not communicate with me or do any repairs on November 18 and 19, 2023. On November 24, 2024, I received a text message from ***** saying he had a death in the family, and he could reconvene services the second week of December 2023. On December 2 and 3, 2023, repairs were completed; however, I advised ***** verbally that I would not be available the following weekend because of my birthday. On December 15, 2023, I received a text message from ***** asking if I was available for service on December 16, 2023. I advised ***** that I had a work obligation. ***** asked me if I could make a partial payment of $600.00 on the bill. I replied, sure. Instead of making the $600 partial payment, I paid my remaining balance of $1284.83 via credit card. I didn't hear from ***** about continuing services for the rest of December 2023. On January 112, 2024, I did not hear from ***** about continuing services at my home. On January 13, 2024, A text message asking about continuing services; there was no response. On January 15, 2024, I sent a text message about continuing services; there was no response. As of March 8, 2024, ***** has not finished the services I paid for.
