Purchased a vehicle on 1/5/23 and was told that all vehicles are inspected before purchase. Car was test driven and I had to ask for the brakes and rotors to be checked because of squeaking and grinding noises. On 1/23/22 started to hear thumping noises in the tires and a whistling noise in the engine, informed elite of the issues was told to bring the car in. Salesperson drove the car and said he heard nothing. Took the car to pep boys to be looked at and all 4 tires are cupping and feathering. Brought the paperwork to elite and was told that it was my problem despite it being a previous issue that should have been seen if inspected like they said so. Asked for initial inspection report and was told they don't keep those records they just supposedly check the car and fix the issues. Was told that the cops would be called on me because I refused to leave without initial service report. They tried to show me what work I asked to done on computer and I could not take a picture of the documents they did have. Was told that it was my problem and I should have heard it before purchase but I had to really drive the car before the noises appeared. Cupping in the tires doesn't happen in 20 days. Reported them to consumer affairs because of unfair business practices. PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP READ ALL REVIEWS BEFORE MAKING A DECISIONBusiness response

In response to complaint from **** *****: Ms. ***** did purchase a 2014 ***** ******** on 1/5/2023. When she visited our dealership she was greeted in a professional manner as we do all customers at Elite Auto Sales. As she showed interest, our sales team continued to show her the vehicle and she then proceeded to take it on a test drive. Once Ms. ***** returned, she requested to have a pre-delivery inspection in which we agreed to. Ms. ***** took the vehicle to a local ********* dealer and had the inspection performed. When she returned form the ********* inspection, she stated that that the only concern was found that needed attention was the brakes seem to be wearing thin. We immediately told Ms. ***** that we would gladly check it, which we did, and we replaced the pads and rotors simply for customer satisfaction since she was concerned. This repair was conducted on the 4th of January, 2023 and she purchased the vehicle on the 5th with no issues to be found until she showed up at our facility on 1/26/2023 DEMANDING to see copies of all repairs done to the vehicle prior to her purchase. Her reasoning behind it was that she had taken the vehicle to *** **** and they told here that her tires were cupped and feathered. She was being very belligerent and aggressive during the whole time she was at our facility to the point that we did ask her to leave before the local authorities was contacted. We as a dealer are not required to present copies of the repairs on a vehicle when we, the dealer, are paying for the repairs. However, we did explain to Ms. ***** we inspect each vehicle in its entirety and if there is a repair that needs to be completed it is performed! That is exactly why we offer a warranty on every vehicle that is sold because we stand behind our product! With that said, my question to Ms. ***** would be: "Why didn't she take the vehicle back to *********, A TIRE DEALER, since they performed the initial inspection instead of taking it to *** ****"? Was *** **** simply trying to sell a set of tires? Probably! In closing, We at Elite Auto Sales as well as *********, a facility completely independent from Elite and chosen by Ms. ***** performed an inspection on this vehicle and found no issue(s) with the tires. With that said, Ms. ***** has answered her own question in her closing statement and she is correct! Cupping in the tires doesn't happen in 20 days! Which simply means that after two separate facilities performed and inspection, again, one being a facility, and didn't find any issue it appears that someone was just trying to sell a set of tires!Initial Complaint

On 8/17/2022 i made a purchase of a *** 320i from this elite auto sales in garner around 6:30 p.m They were closed after i left. i returned to the same seller around 12:30 on 8/18/2022 to tell them i wasnt happy with the purchase. and that i would like my check back they made it clear that the check was still in the office and hadnt been cashed when i returned the purchase at 12:30 8/18/2022. i was also told that i would get a owner's manual at the time of purchase and was not given one and also only given one key. Along with the navigation system not working along with not having the owners manual gave me extreme buyers remorse. i felt decieved that they didnt give me the owners manual at the time of purchase and was told that the navigation system works. they also said they changed the oil which was dirty and found whats looks a leak that they patched up. they took said vehicle and key into possession and refused to give back my check. there is nowhere in the bill of sale that states that i cannot return the purchase within a reasonable amount of time which wouldve been less than 12 hours at elite auto sales. i dont want an exchange of car i dont want to do business with elite auto sales and would not reccomend anybody to go there.Business response

I have never been so gotten away with by this complaint. Mr ***** did in fact purchase the *** like he stated. He is correct, it does not state that there is a no return policy on any of the paperwork. This is because in the state of NC we are “no cooling off period”. Which means there is no right to recision when documents are signed on the premises as all of our transactions are. All of the talk of manuals, navigation and such being the reason for Mr ***** to return the car is nothing less than fabrication as he told us he needed to return the car and if he didn’t his mother was going to “kick him out of the house”. His funds for purchase was granted through **** in the form of certified funds. Mr ***** contacted **** and advised them that he wanted to return the car and cancel the loan. **** advised him that he could and they would stop payment on the check. If there is any wrong doings here it is on ****. They allow this even though they are aware of the the laws as **** refers to themselves as a “for the member” credit union. Mr ***** shows up at our dealership with total disrespect and made the comment “if ya’ll don’t take this car back there is going to be some shit in here”. Totally uncalled for. Even then, we allowed Mr. ***** to return the vehicle when we had a legal right not to do so. After he left our dealership, he and his mother called back to speak with me and it was only then that the check was mentioned and I told them that I had absolutely no issue with returning the check as it was no good to us since stop payment was made by the credit union. I also explained to the both of them the “no cooling off no period” and she apologized and stated that it was just a misunderstanding. It was only after we had taken the car back and voided all the paperwork that this complaint was even filed. Also, mr ***** went as far as to leave us a negative review on line as well. Point being, this is totally uncalled for. Even when you grant the request for some customers they still try to find a way to sabotage well being of others. In closing we do our absolute best to take care of our customers and treat them with total respect. If, not we would not have a 4.6 out of 5 stars on ******. This case has definitely been rectified and the check had been returned to Mr *****. If there is anything further please feel free to reach out. Thank you.
