I went to this vet and I was appalled by the vet. Somehow they convinced me to sign a monthly agreement so that I could save money, however, after seeing the vet, I was never going to go back. I spent $265 that day for my dog to get blood work flea and tick and a rabies shot and I feel that that was overcharging me. I was told to look at my dogs ears to see if she had a yeast infection or something going on that they wanted to charge me $550 to put my dog under anesthesia so that they could see what was going on in her ears. My dog is three years old. Theres no reason to put her under anesthesia to check her ears. I could have gotten them a sample myself.. The vet was very offputting, and my dog was not comfortable with her immediately, and she has been very accommodating to any other vets. She has met in the past so this was clearly not the right vet for me.. Not only did she make this ridiculous suggestion About putting my dog under anesthesia, she prescribed trazodone and another medication for allergies. When I googled both they were extremely dangerous and harmful in the strength that she prescribed and the allergy medication was known to kill dogs by the age of three or four years old. One Was sedative that she prescribed to take twice a day every 12 hours that was stronger than they would prescribe for a large human. I told this office immediately that I would never be back, and these people decided to proceed to keep charging me for this monthly service, knowing that I was extremely appalled by my visit, and that I was very disturbed by the treatment of my animal and the actual neglect prescribing medication that couldve essentially caused harm to my dog if I had not done my research. They had the nerve to send me a bill for $386 after I paid $265 on the day I was there. On that day I told them I would never be back. I received a certified letter and they said they would cancel The contract I want this canceled and zeroed out!.

      To Whom It May Concern,

We appreciate the opportunity to address the complaint filed regarding their experience at our veterinary clinic. We take all concerns seriously and strive to provide the best care for both pets and their owners.
Regarding the allegations that we attempted to harm her dog with medication, we want to clarify that our primary goal is always the health and well-being of our patients. We are empathetic with her misunderstandings and concerns, however, all dosing and medications were appropriate for treatments due to the pets health and behavior.

As for the monthly preventive healthcare signed contract, we ensure that all agreements are communicated clearly and transparently to our clients. We would never have a client sign if they werent in agreement. We are committed to upholding our agreements while also prioritizing the welfare of the animals in our care. The complainant's contract was canceled on October 8, 2024, due to non-payment. The nonpayment amount is $452.22 and the complainant paid $65.00 at enrollment. We may attach the signed contract for additional documentation if needed.

We understand that emotions can run high during stressful situations involving pets, and we regret that the interaction escalated to the point of reactive behavior. Our veterinary team is trained to handle difficult conversations with empathy and respect, and we are continually working to improve our communication practices. However, we will not tolerate cursing or threats. A phone conversation took place on October 22, 2024, with one of our team members and the complainant was extremely hostile toward said team member and was told to have have a f***ing terrible day.

We are open to resolving this matter amicably and encourage further dialogue with the complainant. We value feedback and are dedicated to learning from each experience to enhance our services.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Best Regards,

The Animal Hospital of Statesville Staff

I am rejecting this response because:
I canceled and told the front desk that  would NEVER BE BACK the day I signed this. I told them to cancel anything signed that day. If this is not removed and canceled on the date of my visit I will be filing a law suit. Thank you

Please see the attached documents for the client and their pet ******. The **** was canceled. The amount due is for services rendered on August 4, 2024. The balance owed reflects those services received but not yet paid for. Please review the attached invoice, particularly the price column, to see the total cost of services performed. Additionally, refer to the entry in the medical history we previously sent for October 8, 2024.
      Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:

When I received my paperwork from Statesville animal Hospital to my new vet, Banfield, they said that all they did was a rabies shot and provide heartworm for three months and one other pill and some prescriptions. No other vaccines were given, and I feel what I paid was more than fair because they did not provide my blood work to my new vet And they indicated all she had done was a shot so I do not agree with any of these charges because I am starting all over with the new vet so I refuse this offer and I do not feel I owe this company any additional money if anything, they owe me a refund of at least $100  And an apology
