I made initial contact with H333736313237343636**H H3437**323735363636H in March 2023. I informed them that I needed my yard sprinkler system to become functional. I informed them that the system had not been used for a few years and I wanted to get it up and running. My first appointment was 28 March 2023. Other follow-up appointments were on 17 May, 13 June, 9 August, 16 August, 28 August, and 6 September 2023. During a few of the appointments the work completed were follow *** and covered under warranty. The system was completely rewired and leaks were repaired. A few of the appointments were to repair leaks that were previously repaired but needed to be repaired again. On 16 August 2023, a proposal was submitted to me which included three (3) ten inch valve boxes to be installed. On the proposal, each valve box costs $125.00 for a total $375.00 plus $125.00 labor. The same valve boxes can be purchased for $26.48 each at Lowes. I DECLINED this proposal which was later modified with a rectangle valve box. On 28 August 2023, a proposal was sent to me and a rectangle valve box was later installed. I was charged $200.00 for the valve box and $125.00 labor. That same rectangle valve box can be purchased for $38.74 at Lowes. Overall, the rectangle valve box with labor cost me $325.00. On the 6 September 2023 appointment, I was told by the Technician that my controller no longer was in working condition. The tech stated they would send over a proposal for the cost of a new controller. He recommended a wireless controller which I immediately stated no to wireless. On 21 September 2023, a proposal was sent to me. It included a "Hunter Pro-HC6 outdoor controller (wireless)" for $580.00 and a rain/freeze sensor (wireless) for $212.27. I did not want the sensor. I DECLINED that complete proposal. I researched controllers and the same controller can be purchased for $218.81. This equates labor would be $316.19. During the same 6 September appointment, a wire needed to be spliced. The technician told me that it would be fixed for free when they return on the next appointment when the new controller would be installed. He said normally there would be a charge for the wire splicing even though the system was completely rewired earlier. I was told it was not covered under warranty. On 29 September 2023, another proposal for a controller was sent to me. A Pro-C7 station controller for $450.00 was proposed. Again during researching, a Pro-C7 station controller can be purchased for $137.43. This equates that labor would be $312.57. I DECLINED this proposal. On 31 October 2023, I received an email from H333736313237343636**H H3437**323735363636H. They stated that they were sorry that their services and fees are not in line with what I feel they should be. They regretted they were unable to assist me and think at this point it would be best for me to try and contact another vendor. I responded back on 5 November 2023, stating in short I was hoping for a more favorable response. Throughout this whole ordeal I have always been proactive in contacting H333736313237343636**H H3437**323735363636H regarding what**;s next?; did you see my response?; when can we make the next appointment?, etc. Also, I was presented with proposals for equipment (valve boxes) that were not required and controllers that were overpriced. Also, labor charges are outrageous. I do understand that businesses mark up prices on equipment and labor but what was proposed is not reasonable. Normally, businesses are charged less for equipment than a regular customer. I cannot comprehend how valve boxes have anything to do with getting an irrigation system in working condition other than the business making a huge profit. I have paid for leak repairs and the leaks still persist. I informed them that it is the same leak and they state it is a new leak. Their warranty is not being honored. My system was completely rewired but was told wire splicing is not covered by warranty. They did say they would do the splicing for free, so why wasn**;t it done at that time. I feel they just wanted to charge for an additional visit. I question why was wire splicing necessary since it was just rewired? All of a sudden, my current controller no longer works and was presented with replacement new controllers at an outrageous price. I question whether the wire splicing could have corrected the issue with the controller and not having to purchase a new controller. I am in the same situation as I was at the start. I have paid H333736313237343636**H H3437**323735363636H $1540.71 and still do not have a working irrigation system. I am a senior citizen and veteran. I feel I was not treated professionally by H333736313237343636**H H3437**323735363636H and is not in line with their Corporate Core Values of Professionalism, Innovation, and Responsibility. The only resolution is for Conserva Irrigation of Crystal Coast to return all monies I paid to them. I am requesting a complete refund of $1540.71. Respectfully submitted,***************************
