Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/12) */ Contact Name and Title: Sophia ***** Contact Phone: ********** Contact Email: ************************************* The original contract was for a stated priced based on an estimate. This was not a final price, which was stated in the contract. If material or labor costs increased after the contract was signed or additional/variant services were added, this could increase the final price. This was also stated in the contract. It is difficult to give an accurate cost to a project when you can only see the surface. The estimate did not account for the termite damage repairs that were agreed upon after tearing into the wall, nor did it accurately reflect the price of colored concrete because the prices had risen since the estimate was originally drafted. As far as having someone else complete part of the work, this was an unneccessary course of action, as all that had to be done was to reach out to us and express any concerns with which part of the project you were deeming the priority and we could have switched gears and rearranged timelines. Much of the time lost on this project was because we will not complete work without proper materials or consent from the homeowners and outdoor work depends a lot on weather conditions. There were many times where we spent days waiting on communication back in order to proceed on certain areas and unfortunately, we cannot completely stop business while waiting on one project and must move on to another in between the wait times. Customers need to understand that with a smaller business there are fewer laborer to go around, in our case, Keith is our main guy, with one or two part time helpers. Also, as a small business, we cannot afford to wait for homeowners for days when another project is also in need of our attention so we work on that project while waiting on communication or backstocked materials from others. It was also very unfortunate that the day Keith went to pour the concrete for the patio, the forcast was completely wrong and he did everything he could to complete it before it downpoured on him and even stayed in the rain to cover it and try to make sure he didn't lose the work he busted his **** on for hours before. Keith is always going the extra mile to try to satisfy and applease his customers, but he will not work for free and he will not eat the $**** of concrete that sits in your backyard right now. Unfortunately, without further payment, you will have bancrupted our business and we will not be able to finish any work as you have only paid for one-third of what he has completed. Please review the invoice again and take a look at what you are being charged for. Every single item on that list, Keith has done and paid for out of pocket. This project has put our business at a stand still because we have no revenue from this project and poured a ton of money into it. You are welcome to take our invoice to other companies to get a side-by-side comparison of prices and send us their estimates for each item and we are willing to price match on comparable services.
