In February 2022, I purchased a 2019 ******* navigator reserve l.
Chuck **** was the managing sales person. He gave me a seven day warranty and promise to pay whatever I found defective during the seven day period after I received the car.
Among the things I found was a gasket that fell off the liftgate, a problem with transmission that whiplashed me going at 12 miles an hour with adaptive cruise control starting from stop, and a bad rattle in the door panels. these repairs cost $487.50.
The dealership contacted him three times over several months as did I about payment. He never answered my email nor their requests and I paid that bill.
In addition, the sync module went bad during an update and had to be replaced.
The cost was $1253.10.
Mr. **** disputed this saying that if I hadn't done the update the sync module would continue to run fine as it had run fine when the car left dealership.
I told him that successfully updating was a normal part of a well working sync module.
I told him that the following week I brought my 2018 ******* navigator l black label to have the very same module updated and everything went fine. The module now works as fine after the update as before.
Therefore, the conclusion is that the module what is defective and a legitimate warranty repair.
I paid for this as well.
I told Jeff *******, the owner, about this in August 2022. So far, no reply.

Upgrading the audio module that was operating properly and did not require an upgrade (both statements made by the Lincoln dealership that did the work) is not something wrong with the vehicle, but an optional upgrade we didn't offer to cover. Also, as you told Mr. **** that you put extra insulation in the doors of all your vehicles to help with road noise, that would also be considered an optional upgrade that we didn't offer to cover.
We apologize that there seems to have been a misunderstanding of what "defective" items entailed, but optional upgrades were not in that category.
Mr. ******* did not hear from you as you stated in your review as this is first he has heard of the situation.
