I had DM roofing install a new roof but when to put on gutter guards. I then had a guttering and siding company to put in new gutter guards damage by hail and wind damage. He told me my gutters are not attached to the fascia board. They were detached to put gutter apron on. But need to be reattached to fix the leaf guard. The roofers denied this. So now nothing is being done.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/12/08) */ Contact Name and Title: D&M Roofing and Siding Contact Phone: ************ Contact Email: ********************* The homeowner filed an insurance claim and the roof and some gutters/gutter guards were covered by insurance. The homeowner decided to contract the roof replacement only with D&M and chose another contractor to complete the gutter/gutter guard work. When the homeowner stated that the gutter contractor she hired said the gutters were not attached correctly, D&M went out and clarified that the gutters were reattached in their original pre-roofing position. D&M will send out their gutter contractor to evaluate proper gutter placement and make any necessary fixes free of charge to the homeowner. Homeowner will receive a follow up call next week when the gutter contractor will be able to come out Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2023/01/10) */ Dm roofing email me yesterday saying they were coming to attached the gutters that they left not attached to the fascia board to the roof but they never showed up so waiting for their response why they didn't come. Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2023/01/11) */ Customer was sent email traffic with the change to schedule. The gutter contractor was onsite the day of the BBB comment. Gutters were reattached to correct the improper installment. Even though D&M was not responsible for the original installment, we fixed the issue free of charge.

We hired D&M Roofing and Siding to do a complete re-siding job on our house. During the job there were some damages accidentally inflicted to the drywall inside the house: - During the siding a reciprocating saw penetrated from outside and damaged the drywall in on of the rooms; - Across the house several pieces of drywall were damaged during the removal of the old siding; - Due to improper water insulation during the job a wall in the house sustained water damage. D&M assured us that they would fix the issues, we made a payment for the full amount of the work and have not heard from them since. The last e-mail I sent them on June 10th went unanswered. We paid close to ****** dollars for the job.

      Business response

      06/17/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/17) */ After an internal review of the job, D&M acknowledges that there were drywall damages. The job rep has been in contact with the homeowner and D&M is actively working to conduct the repairs that are needed. Homeowner has not paid in full and still has a remaining balance of $****** that was purposefully withheld until such repair items have been completed. There appears so be some miscommunication on how long it would take to source the right contractors to fix those open items. D&M has been and will continue to be fully engaged with ensuring the homeowner is 100% satisfied with completion of the project. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/08/22) */ As of today - August 22nd 2022 - over two months after the reply from D&M nothing has been done to repair the damage. Someone came to look at the damage, they said they were very busy and it would take some time. Just to be clear: out of the almost ****** dollars what's left outstanding is less than *** dollars - which would not cover the repairs. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/08/23) */ After the response on 6/17/2022, D&M sourced a contractor to conduct the drywall repairs as D&M does not have a drywall contractor in house. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond D&M's control, drywall contractors in the area of the customer have been difficult to find. The ones that are available, have very lengthy timelines as they are fully booked up to 90 days. The contractor that came out, explained this to the homeowner, and has been in contact on a regular basis to provide a update to timeline. The homeowner acknowledged the 90 day timeline at the time of job survey. If the homeowner has decided that the timeline provided is inadequate, D&M is willing to turn over the responsibility to source their own contractor, given they sign a release of liability and provide us with an invoice for D&M to pay to the contractor directly. Consumer Response /* (2000, 16, 2022/08/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) We will use ouw own contractor and have the repairs invoiced to D&M for the repairs, that seems a reasonable solution. Please provide us with a template for the liability release.
