Estimate said “thoroughly clean all asphalt services prior to Sealcoating. Includes edging grass lines, cleaning with wire brooms, High velocity blowers and or Hot air Lance”. Camera on garage that shows entire driveway proves that this cleaning was not done. as a result, there is a lot of leaf litter, twigs and other debris stuck under the seal coating. When I contacted the company I was told “they will come and look at it the next time they are in the neighborhood”. When a customer has an issue with workmanship, you immediately respond to see what the issue is. When a customer has paid in full, you immediately rectify the situation. You do not tell the customer that you will get around to it sometime in the future when it’s convenient for the company. very poor workmanship and customer service. I do not recommend this company.Business response

I have read your entire complaint and apologize for the inconvenience. Every driveway does get brushed and blown off before sealer is applied however there is always a chance, especially when the driveway is completely surrounded by trees, that debris will continue falling once it has been cleaned. This does not affect the effectiveness or properties of the sealcoat. The office staff has spoken to the homeowner and have this address on our scheduling rotation and are planning on rectifying as soon as possible.Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: video of the entire process shows that the driveway was never cleaned prior to the sealcoating being applied. This violates the contract that specifically states that the driveway would be cleaned prior to sealing. I paid for something that I did not receive. By the time the company gets around to looking at the final product, weather and driving on the driveway will loosen and remove the leaf debris, twigs and other debris that is now buried under the sealcoating.
Sincerely,

Hi, the owner of this company attests that the driveway was cleaned off and has not ever sealed a driveway without blowing it off first in his 23 years in this industry. Please provide the video proof you claim to have. Thanks!Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: I’d be happy to show the owner all of the videos when he comes to look at the driveway.

We went to the location and the homeowner did not make contact with us. The sealcoat job looked good, there was tire debris from dirty tires and tree debris from overhanging trees that is actively falling and appears was falling during the sealer application. These are all normal even after the driveway is swept and blown off and does not impact the effectiveness of the sealcoat application. We do not recommend applying any more products to the driveway at this time.Customer response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: on June 6 I watched two men walk up my driveway look in my backyard, walk across the driveway and look in my front yard. This is captured on video. So I did not think that they would find anything wrong with the job that they did. I wish I had read the previous customers reviews on the BBB website prior to hiring them. The previous customers have accurately summed up this company’s work quality and customer service. My driveway is just one more example of poor workmanship. I hope the BBB will post this complaint along with the other complaints about this company. I do not wish to hear from this company again and they are certainly not welcome on my property ever again.
Sincerely,

In October 2020 JPL put a sealcoat on my driveway. It rained and did not work. JPL came to my house and said they would redo it the following spring. I have an e-mail dated March 30,2021 saying that I was all set for the redo and that they would call a couple days in advance. They never scheduled me even after I called several times to be put on the schedule. Since then I have called and e-mailed to get a refund. They will not return my e-mails or calls. JPL had sent out an e-mail and flyers promoting an early bird special on March 29,2021 . So they booked those appointments rather than scheduling my redo.
