      Nov. 11, 2023 i contacted Kyle P****** *AKA Kyle D****) DBA Apple Tech Guys and asked for a price on a reconditioned iPhone 11 plus max 256gb. Kyle quoted a price of $450.00 and he would install a new high power battery for another $50.00 I asked for a total and was told $517.00 then he offered to take a broken screed iPhone 7 Plus toward the purchase for ($60.00). Kyle asked me to send him $457.00 through Apple Cash. The payment did not work, Kyle requested $455.00 and after calling my bank the payment was sent and received. The phone was going to arrive by the following Saturday but. Was delayed until Nov. 22, 2023. The phone was for my wife and when she tried to set up, the phone the facial recognition would not work. There was a error message “ unable to determine if your iphone display is aa genuine Apple part. This could be because the part is non-genuine, not functioning as expected, or the installation is incomplete.” I sent a message to Kyle 11/22/23. At 11:122pm. Thursday sent another message letting Kyle know the phone was not working properly. Another message was sent on Friday 11//25/23 and Kyle responded around 3:00pm and said if it is the Face ID that’s not repairable.. also stated just use aa passcode. Kyle then told me I wold have to send the phone out to NY **** *** in ********, NY costing 74.00 plus shipping $26.00. It will take a week turnaround time to fix. I asked Kyle for a refund and he refused. I asked what he was going to do to fix this. Kyle told me the company he ordered from would probably offer a. Refund of $60.00-70.00. I asked Kyle to check and let me know what they offered. This was on Friday. Monday afternoon I messaged Kyle and asked what he had for info. Kyle said he has had a response from the company. Kyle refused to do anything to correct the problem. I was told the phone had a 90 day warranty and the battery Kyle installed had a three year warranty. The IPhone 11 Pro Max has been sent out for repair.
