Scott Bailey did painting remodel in my office. He did not paint some areas that were in original estimate and wants to charge me extra to do this. Areas he did paint are peeling. I request a refund of $600.00 from my payment to him.Business response

This customer received more work than I originally estimated. The entire front room was painted and she claimed she loved it. Some peeling on the door and customer window was scratched slightly and I agreed to fix it. Of course I was harassed continuously to get it done. I was concerned the entire areas must just not be holding paint and to my surprise it was literally a scratch that I completed in two minutes. Upon arriving at job to complete touch ups she hits me with an email that more work was required in the exam rooms. Never previously mentioned in her five emails to get back and touch up door. Estimate was for walls that were repaired with mud by her husband and for me to paint certain areas. I painted extra walls because once you paint one bad wall the wall next to it looks lousy. In all honesty I did way more work than she even understands! I’ve been painting for thirty years and I’ve had no complaints with my work. She really doesn’t get it and I’m insulted she took this to bbb level. Good luck with your practice, I’m shocked you’ve even established yourself with the lack of professionalism!

Do not contact me with anymore of your requests. More work was done than what was estimated for. When you paint one wall or two walls in a room the third and fourth wall look like shit! This is exactly what happened in your exam rooms. I actually painted more walls than I estimated and you’re still looking for more. On another note I removed a piece of trim to bring to paint store to match after you gave me the wrong color. No charge for my time or extra paint! Your selfish and expect more than you paid for. You actually owe me money you didn’t even pay me the correct amount!

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: The painter's response is inappropriate. I'm not sure why the color of trim was not color chip matched since I only had the color and make of paint used before. I would be more then happy to supply original estimate and invoice paid in full for items listed on this. I can supply pictures of these items. Customer service usually involves listening and responding to the customer in an appropriate fashion.
