I visited the Practice for the first time on September 5 and I returned to have a consult with their orthodontist on September 15 at 4:30 PM in the hamilton office. The staff and Cleaning as well as my interaction with the dentist was absolutely fantastic. The problem came when I had a consultation with a very abrupt Traveling orthodontist who not only pressured me and said he wasn’t going to help me unless I could pay $5000 for an Invisalign because I have TMJ and my teeth are spreading. I agreed to the pricing, and he kept asking me as if I didn’t have the money. All of that is hearsay, except for the fact that he humiliated me in a waiting room with staff, and I don’t even know if patients were present to tell me that he wasn’t going to help me unless I could pay for it so of course I put down the $250 because the guy was making me feel like a complete idiot not to mention totally violating HIPAA law. I don’t need to get into that. I just want the 250 bucks back. I called the very next day and explain to the staff person what happened and she was kind, suggesting I leave a message for billing. 2 messages later I call and ask to be transferred to that person and she starts negotiating like well. Would it make you happy if we give you $150 back? No it actually isn’t appropriate and I expect a full refund of $250 and I let her know that. She said that she would ““ check with the owner of the practice and gave me the impression that it was going to be an issue. I asked her to please put the response in an email to me that way all of this is documented and she told me she would do so. it’s been over a week no email no refund and it is not appropriate to discuss financial information from a doctor pressuring me about money in a waiting room. This is inappropriate on many levels. I am also going to contact Bank Of America and ask them to open a ticket for the charge that was never refunded as I requested many times.
