I signed up for a promotional annual subscription with this company last year (May 2022) at 50% discount. I received no notification about auto-renewal this year but on May 31, 2023, I was auto-renewed for 1 more year at full price of $49.99. The website provided no option to disable auto-renewal so when I saw the charge on my credit card (I was out of town when I was charged) I notified the company about not being able to disable any auto-renewal and asked them to deactivate my subscription and refund me since I had no option to do it myself. I was notified that they cannot refund me anything and that I am required to keep my auto-renewed subscription that will expire next May (2024).The company's support is from ***** and they were very unhelpful and adamant about forcing me to keep this auto-renewed subscription even though I notified that I could not cancel auto-renewal because I could not see anywhere in their online portal an option to disable auto-renewal. Nor is there any option to update or remove Credit Card information so I am practically held hostage by this company. As long as they have my credit card info on file, they trick customers into a forced auto-renewal cycle with no option to disable without emailing them or reaching on WhatsApp. And even after notifying them in a timely manner that I was out of town when they auto-renewed without any notification, they would not budge. Right now, I have no ability to get my $49.99 refund that they wrongfully charged me for a forced auto-renewed subscription and I have no ability to remove my Credit Card information on their file so they can continue to hold me hostage with their auto-renewal. On their portal, they even do not allow deletion of any profiles created for watching their shows (no data privacy rules observed).Overall, a very unethical company that tricks customers into forced auto-renewals and no ability to get refund for the forced unwanted subscription since they have Credit Card on file.
