      I bought an Avocado mattress and mattress pad a few years ago. Late summer I received an email that the mattress pad was recalled due to it not meeting flammability standards. I followed all of their instructions, cut the mattress pad in half, wrote on the tag, sent photos, all at the end of August. By the end of September I hadnt heard anything, they did say it would take 4 weeks to ship from when you submitted your recall. I reached out to customer service at the end of September, who told me they had received my claim, but its had not yet been reviewed/processed, and that they were pretty busy. Now its mid November, and still nothing. I just reached back out and am looking forward to an update. This situation is rather challenging, as the mattress toppers are pricey and now mattress is not only unprotected, I dont have the comfort that helped me to sleep better that the mattress pad offered. Im looking forward to Avocado following through on this, or at least give me a refund for having me destroy my topper.

      Their customer service is horrendous, which is a shame as they have a good product. I have had three very poor experiences. First, I went to their ********** store in **********, **. We were the only people in the store, but the saleswoman was too busy looking at her phone to help us. She acted surly when we asked her some questions. We walked out and bought another brand. A couple years later, I needed a new mattress for a guest bedroom. The *** at Avocado told me that I had to purchase their waterproof mattress protector with the mattress, or the warranty would be voided. The only problem was that they not only didn't have the protectors in stock but wouldn't even let me place an order for one on backorder. I searched online and found one. Today, I read on Consumer Reports that the mattress protectors have been recalled because they don't meet flammability standards. In order to qualify for the recall, I had to cut the mattress pad in half and send them a photo. I did, only to have them tell me mine doesn't qualify for the recall. So now I'm out a $200 mattress protector. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have customers submit photos to see if the ********************** protector was part of the recall before asking them to cut it in half? I even tried to call the phone number for the recall first to check, but it went straight to voicemail. ***** this company. There are plenty of other mattress brands out there.

      ********* sales company. Haven't shipped all of my order as promised and paid for, after weeks of waiting.If something goes wrong, they make it impossible to get help. Both call-in and online chat avenues claim "no one available, wait time is a few hours". When you call in for customer service, you're automatically disconnected after 15 minutes with a message saying they've taken your number and will return a call. If they do, it's with a robo-call, not a real person. They literally have no one working on customer service and problem resolution! Do yourself a favor and stay away!

      Beware: Avocado says a large raised ridge on their mattresses is normal. I received my Eco Organic Kids Mattress on August 27th. When I unpacked it, it had a large ridge, raised about 2 inches high and 2 inches wide running from the top to bottom of the mattress. When laying on it, it felt like sleeping on a large rubber hose. It is now October 3. More then 30 days after receiving the mattress, and the ridge still remains.I've contacted Avocado customer support, both by phone and email, many times. It takes at least 2 days of waiting for customer service to reply. Each time they said this ridge was normal and could take up to 60 days to fix itself. I've since purchased a new mattress for my child. I understand sometimes products have defects, but Avocado's unwillingness to help me with my problem is extremely frustrating. I am still in the process of trying to return it and get my money back. Avocado insists they cannot wave the $99 return fee because this ridge is "normal". Buyer beware - we are unable to use this mattress. This isn't a matter of sleep preference, this is a defective product.

      I bought 2 Avocado pillows a little over a year ago. Recently, we determined that more stuffing would be a good idea. Avocado's site stated that the stuffing was available & ready to ship "in 1 to 3 business days". A week later, I'd heard nothing. So, it was time to get in touch. What a mess that was. I called & they were "experiencing high call volumes", but would I like a call back? Sure. When that call came (2 hours later), it was a ROBOT stating "we don't have anyone available" & then hanging up. Somehow, I finally got an email (the email link doesn't work) & she was polite, stating that they were out of stock & didn't have any notion of when the product would be available. When I told her that the website still showed that it was available, she said that it took a while for the site to update. Now, a month later, it still shows as available & I've cancelled my order. We'll see how long it takes to get a refund. Side note: you can buy this filling elsewhere, no need to deal with Avocado!

      Do yourself a favor and do not order from this company. We STILL haven't had our mattress shipped. We placed an order on 09/04/2024 - their website states ships in 1-3 days. This is absolutely a lie. Their customer service is a joke. We had called at this point over 10 times, without anyone telling us when we will receive our order. The last thing we can do is contact our credit card company and dispute this transaction. Perhaps the worst thing is the customer service. They absolutely do nothing, they will tell you they started a ticket but no one calls you back. I must have been spoken to the same agent - **** about 3 times. Considering the number of options you have for a mattress do no use them.

      I purchased an Avocado Green Plush mattress in California King sizethe most expensive option in their green mattress lineon July 31st. Despite their claim of shipping within 5-7 business days, my mattress was not shipped until August 16th and did not arrive until August 28th. This delay was frustrating, but the nightmare didnt end there.After disposing of my old mattress and setting up the new one, I quickly realized that the mattress was too small for my California King frame. Upon checking the box, I discovered that I had received a Queen-size mattress instead! I immediately called customer support that night, who confirmed that based on the tags, I indeed received the wrong size.The support representative instructed me to email their support team with pictures of the tags and reference my order number. I did so, only to receive an automated response the following night. I waited two days with no further communication before calling support again, where I was told that a replacement had been submitted, but it hadn't even shipped yet, and they couldnt give me a timeline. To make matters worse, I was informed it could take up to two more weeks for the correct mattress to arrive.Despite the mistake being entirely their fault, Avocado offered no solution to keep the incorrect mattress and no compensation for the inconvenience and frustration caused by their errors. The lack of communication and customer care is simply unacceptable, especially for a product at this price ********** yourself the headache and look elsewhere if you're considering purchasing from Avocado. This experience has been nothing short of a disaster.

      I ordered an alpaca/wool mattress topper on June 3rd. My receipt says "shipping within 1-3 business days". It never came. I have called, emailed, and gone into the store in **********. I have been told they are having difficulty obtaining supplies. They don't specify which supplies, or why there is a difficulty. I have told them their website is still saying shipment in 1-3 business days. They are continuing to market the item I am missing. At this point, their marketing seems to be fraudulent because this has been going on for months. I have maintained all of my written correspondences. I am now sorry I did not demand my money back sooner. Although they still have an A+ rating from BBB, one can't help but notice that their customer rating is at 1.43 out of 5.

      We purchased a couple mattesses and a couple adjustable beds from the ****************** store. Within just a few months we found the tops of the bed frames were covered in MOLD. As nothing else in our apartment had mold we were quite surpised. The response from Avacado was 'too bad for you' which we were also surprised and disappointed by.
