Nail-It Handyman sent an unlicensed "plumber" to replace a bathtub faucet, and ended up causing a flood which destroyed our basement ceiling. The poor workmanship was documented by the plumber we had to hire to fix it. The repair plus the ceiling damage comes to approximately $4500. This company has NEVER responded to calls or emails regarding the damage, and in fact admitted to me that they screen calls to avoid having to deal with dissatisfied customers. Their website claims that they are "licensed and insured", even though the insurance policy listed on their "contract" expired in 2021.

We purchased a used above ground pool from market place. I took the pool down as well as my existing pool. Called Nail it Handyman (referred) by *********. I spoke with Ben S*******. I told him i bought a used above ground 15 x 24 oblong pool that i needed installed. He said we can do that. Ben told me the rates including discounts and that it would be done in one day. He sent the contract. I eventually received and signed the contract. Within 15 minutes of signing the contract. 1900.00 was withdrawn(held) from my bank account. I called and spoke with Isaac, who then transferred me to Laura A (operations manager). She told me it was standard procedure to do that. I incurred 250.00 in bank fees for over drafting my account. I thought the fee was 1500.00 and i would Zelle the money to them for an additional discount when the project was done. The job was started the following day. The contract states the ground was to be levelled and the pool would be installed. If anything was needed the guys on site would get what was needed and charge me for it. I received a call that the job could not be finished because more sand was needed we are done. for the day. If you need to schedule to finish the job call the office. 1775.49 was immediately withdrawn from my bank. I called and tried to get in touch with Laura. Several call attempts no answer. I did get an email from her with no answers. I could not get any answers for days. I finally got someone (Daniel) who sounded like he was going to work with me. I tried to contact him several times the following day with no luck. When someone finally answered the phone i was transferred to Laura A. She told me she does the scheduling not him. He was out of line and she hung up on me. I started to do it my self by removing all of the grass that was not removed. Called another guy who did it in 2 days. He needed to redo what was done because it was done wrong otherwise he would have finished in 1 day except for the liner.

On 08/20, Ben (Benjamin) S. from NailIt Handyman offered a $80 discount, which is why I agreed to okaying the project. The next day the project was completed 08/21, they asked me for a check in the amount of $907.80 which I promptly wrote out and handed over to the installer. They said that when they went to cash the check, it was declined by the **** for insufficient funds. When I wrote out the check, there were sufficient funds to cover the amount on the check. They waited until the weekend or 08/23 to cash the check, and then went and charged the amount of the work, plus the $80 discount we had agreed on on debit card. I want them to honor the $80 discount and refund me the full amount of $80. I think too many companies these days are doing whatever they can to extract extra money from their clients especi**** senior citizens. I'm a senior, a widow on a limited income and cannot afford these added expenses. So it would be nice if they would honor the $80 discount. I have contacted my **** and they are also working to find a resolution to this problem because they also feel I was wronged. Thank you for taking the time to address this at your earliest convenience. Thank you again. Case number for **** **** ******

On July 23, 2024, I contracted with Nail It Handyman to repair my deck. I was told that the job would take 5 hours but at the most 8 hours. I hired two men for the job. They were supposed to post the railing to make it more secure and replace the rotten wood on the top of the deck. They said they would sit down with me to show me what was available at HomeDepot so that I could choose the materials. Instead, two men came out and began working. One had me sign the electronic contract which said 5 hours repair and replace rotten wood. At the end of the day, the man doing most of the work (the other did nothing), indicated that it should be done tomorrow but he did not know. I attempted to make contact with the salesperson and could not reach him. He attempted to make contact with the office and could not reach them. I called the next morning attempting to make contact again to no avail. Two workers came out and I had to pay more each day. This went on and on for 5 days for a total of $11948.17. They tore down the deck I had from ground up, did not reinforce the wall railings with posts, and left my back yard with wood planks with nails sticking up all of the yard. It costs me another $6000-$8000 with other vendors to repair what they messed up.

I hired this company, Nail It Handyman on August 1 to do some small jobs.We had just moved to *********, **. Initially, I was concerned because they required a charge against my business checking account of $ 599.00. I did not want to do this but reluctantly agreed to it on July 31, 2024. Then when the man showed up he did not complete the work and left gaping holes in our bathroom light fixtures. I paid him a check fo $ 543.46 paid on August 1 and which posted on August 2 from our personal account. He said I should call the company about getting the work completed. I called them twice yesterday, got voice mail and no return calls were forthcoming. We are very concerned about their lack of professionalism which we had depended on as new owners. We just want them to complete the job as agreed to and to release the $ 599.00 credit card charge from my business account.

Date of transaction: 7/9/2024 Amount of money paid: $1,277.37 Company committed to: Leveling yard and installing above ground pool within 8 hours nature of dispute: As soon as they arrived (almost 2 hours late), they took a couple of measurements, sat in their work van for 30 mins in the A/C, then left for roughly an hour, when they came back, smelled like weed, and told me it's a several day project by hand, not 8 hrs. The whole time, was calling the office who was dodging my phone calls all morning until I stated I was disputing the charges for no actual work being done. Then they told me I would be charged a 3 hr min anyhow for 2 workers each and if I even wanted the 3 hrs of work/ I now had to pay up front in cash. Kicked them off my property and they charged my credit card for 3 hrs each for 2 contractors FOR NO WORK DONE.

I hired nail it handyman to assembly an above ground pool as they advertise being above ground pool installers. I was sold a slot of time (2 men 5 hours )and was told that should be really close to sufficient to have the size pool I told them I had purchased assembled. After returning home from work I saw that they had sent three guys. The problem being they were not pool installers by any means and I would be shocked if they had ever put a pool together. When I got home they were about 4 hours into there five hour work slot and even with the extra guy they were not even close to being half way assembled. I pulled in to all three of them sitting down reading directions smoking cigarettes. They wrapped up ****************************************************************************************************************** the morning . I wrote them a check and said no Im all set and then proceeded to take apart what very little they did because it was wrong and proceeded to do it myself. Im writing here because they are selling a service that they are not Capable of completing and Im sure they will do it again I called the office and was giving no resolve of them making it right. I was told we are not a pool company and they are a time and materials company which I understand but they should not sell Services that they are ill equipped to Complete and take advantage of people who would have said yes please come back and take another $1400 dollars of my hard earned money
