1. Date of Transition July 1, 2023 2. The amount of money, the check was written to Lawyer Omar K. Q****** P.C. 3. Mr. Q****** was suppose to assisst me in getting a divorce. The divorce was going to cost $4,000.00. His office called many times, prior to sending in the signed retainer agreement and payment. I felt pressured. especially after I spoke to the lawyer for the 30 mintue free consultation in late June. As soon as I realized I was not going to be able to go through the divorce at that time. I imeediately contacted them and asked him not to do anything . He responded OKay. I wanted the money returned. Now he hads kept the money long enought to say he has done something on a case. I didn't ask for . I found that hard to believe when he was out of town at the time the money was sent. I have called and dhe now say he is going to give me back $400.00 . I have told the secretary this is unacceptable. I want 750.00. I hope you can help me solved this problem. I would never use this lawyer servcie ever or refer anyone there. I don't want o negotiate, I just want my 750.00 returned ASAP/Business response

This individual was given a deal and spent a significant amount of time on the phone with our office.
The check and signed retainer arrived in advance of her emails of July 1st.
Because we gave more than just the initial consult, with attorney speaking to her more than once, and then multiple times speaking to the office before she signed, plus due to the fact we gave her such a good deal of 750 out 4000, we were only requesting about 300 for the inconvenience for the staff for opening the file, and spending all that extra time with her. We were not requesting the entire amount, but she didn't think our time is worth anything.
We are friendly people and are known for being generous, but she changed her mind 3-4 days after we did file opening. We're willing to still negotiate on the amount if she is willing to be even a little fair. It's not fair that we had to pay the staff for time spent speaking to her on multiple occasions.
