This company recently charged me 12k to move my belongings from ** to **. They jam packed all my belongings into a corner of their ******* and damaged several expensive items such as a 75 inch LCD, an $800 dumb bell set that flew off the truck when the movers opened the truck when they arrived to my new home in **, a patio table that collapsed due to all the weight leaning on top of it. They also scuffed two of my sectionals and the owner Mr. **** claimed to be there for us and would call us last week. He has yet to return to our calls and who knows if he will be a man enough to make this right.Review from Kristina R

I have used Jersey Moving three times now, and I have to say, I have an excellent experience each and every time!Customer service is wonderful with scheduling and the online portal makes it super easy to add and edit your inventory and preferred moving date. They were accessible and available in a pinch when I needed them earlier this year and made it so easy I didn't have to lift a finger.All of my belongings were packed with care and the movers were very quick and professional. Used Jersey Moving Pro to move out of my house to a storage unit and another residence. The crew were very friendly and efficient and made sure to move everything just the way we asked! Jersey Moving Pro was the first company we contacted and decided to hire them after we looked at several others They were always polite and appeared to be efficient. We packed most boxes and totes but they packed some items like wall art. They arrived on time and quickly packed the truck in ** and, upon delivery, unpacked the truck in **. We tipped generously.Now the bad: there were items that never made it to us but we didn't realize it until months had passed. Various wall art, office equipment, clothing and other items never made it. My wife is heartbroken as heirloom Waterford ******* from her grandmother are gone. They delivered an office desk but not the legs, which got to us two months late. A piece of furniture was broken on delivery and we put in an insurance claim which was never paid. (So much for the pricey insurance they charged.) I hope whoever got the possessions we lost are appreciated.Jersey Moving Pro Response

Dear *** or *****, First, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience the customer has endured during the move. It is never our intention that customers will have a less than satisfying experience. Upon review we do not see that any claim was ever submitted nor was there any communication expressing concerns about missing or damaged items. Claim Filing Requirements - Bill of Lading: Per our Terms and Conditions as listed on the back of the Bill of Lading governing this move: "Carrier shall not be liable for the loss or destruction of, or missing goods, or damage of goods tendered hereunder or any part thereof unless the claim is made in writing supported by proof of ownership together with substantiation of value, and weight. As a condition precedent, all outstanding monies due to the mover must be paid in full before a claim can be submitted to the company within 9 months after the date the goods were delivered" The customer was referred to our claims service provider CSI to file a proper claim as required by the law. The customer was sent login information on 08/26/24 to file a claim online. Once the claim is received it will be analyzed in the order it was received and compensation will be offered based on our legal liability and within the time frame allowed by law. For further assistance with filing claims, you may contact CSI directly at ************ or online at ****************** We regret the customer found it necessary to file a complaint, but trust that the above explanation enables them to better understand our position in this matter.Review from Shannin C

I had great communications with the team at Jersey Moving Pro. ***** was great. Everything was explained and we were in constant contact. I really enjoyed working with them until the furniture was delivered. We realized that a couple things were damaged and missing in the move. One of which was a very important box filled with all the things I use daily. This box is irreplaceable. I tried to contact the company multiple times to see if it was found and there was NO REPLY. Not even, no, I am sorry. NOTHING; silence. I am very disappointed about the loss of this box, it had all the stuff I used every day; not to mention, the ** that was also missing and the few items that were damaged that I didn't pack (***** vacuum, office desk). I was very satisfied with this company until the end. It's unfortunate that the trust I had in this company was broken and I would not recommend them moving forward. I did the right thing in this move, I even went above and beyond with them, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I am very upset about the missing box. I don't see how it can be lost with my name on it and the few deliveries that took place with my move. I am still hopeful that it will be found.Jersey Moving Pro Response

Per the Federal Regulations Code 49 CFR Part ***** - Filing of Claims: Claims shall not be voluntarily paid unless filed in writing and per filing requirements as provided in this paragraph and the Bill of Lading governing the move. ***** Filing of Claims: (a) Compliance with regulations: A claim for loss or damage to baggage or for loss, damage, injury, or delay to cargo, shall not be voluntarily paid by a carrier unless filed as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, with the receiving or delivering carrier, or carrier, or carrier issuing the bill of lading, receipt, ticket, or baggage check, or carrier on whose line the alleged loss, damage, injury, or delay occurred, within the specified time limits applicable thereto and as otherwise may be required by law, the terms of the bill of lading or other contract of carriage, and all tariff provisions applicable thereto. (b) Minimum filing requirements. A written or electronic communication (when agreed to by the carrier and the shipper or receiver involved) from a claimant, filed with a proper carrier within the time limits specified in the bill of lading or contract of carriage or transportation and: (b)(1) Containing facts sufficient to identify the baggage or shipment (or shipments) of property, (b)(2) Asserting liability for alleged loss, damage, injury, or delay and (b)(3) Making claim for the payment of a specified or determinable amount of money, shall be considered as sufficient compliance with the provisions for filing claims embraced in the bill of lading or other contract of carriage; provided, however, that where claims are electronically handled, procedures are established to ensure reasonable carrier access to supporting documents. The customer was referred to our claims service provider CSI to file a proper claim as required by the law. The customer has submitted a claim which is currently being reviewed. The customer's claim will be analyzed in the order it was received and compensation will be offered based on our legal liability and within the time frame allowed by law. For further assistance with the claim, you may contact CSI directly at ************ or online at ****************** We have initiated a trace for the missing box per the information provided by the customer to our dispatch office. We have been searching and will continue to do so as we are trying our best to resolve any issues the customer may have. Once the trace results are back, they will be advised to the customer and to CSI our 3rd party claims company who will adjust the claim accordingly. We regret the customer found it necessary to file a complaint, but trust that the above explanation enables them to better understand our position in this matter.Review from Ellen P

Everything about my move was made easier with Jersey Moving Pro! From teh start with a quick response to my request for a quoite to the estimate day when the estimator arrived on time and efficiently reviewed my home for which items needed what kind of care to my moiving day wher ethe three movers arrived ON TIME and completed my moive from one home to teh next in 4 hors and 15 minutes. Jersey Moving Pro did an excellent job with my move. Professional , friendly staff. The saleswoman ***** was patient and explained everything in detail. I knew exactly what was going to happen and what the charges would be. There were no surprises. ***** and **** made a very stressful situation easier.
