I applied for an auto loan with United Teletech FCU on 4/5/22. I received an approval notice and was connecting with a representative by the name of *************************. ****************** asked me to submit information in order to fulfill the auto loan obligation. He unethically asked me to provide my debit card number over the phone in order to fund an account. I did not know at the time that he would be debiting $30.00; he did not disclose this at any time. He asked me to send in a copy of my driver's license via e-mail and I completed this. He later e-mailed me that he did not receive my driver's license; which was my first red flag that this process was not being handled accordingly. ****************** continued to e-mail me asking me to log into a United Teletech portal and I explained that he did not provide me any portal to log into. Nearly 2 weeks later, ****************** provided me a portal link so that I could establish my membership. This is how I found out he debited $30.00 to fund the checking account (I never wanted one). I asked ****************** to line up a date for my existing *************** lease payoff and he failed to do so. I explained him to via e-mail on 4/28 that I would like the payoff to be issued in June and he did not respond. I went to United Teletech and used their inquiry submission to request for a Senior Manager to reach out to me; this has yet to happen. On 5/23 I called United Teletech on 3 occasions; once speaking to a ************** Representative to asked to verify my mother's maiden name (which was never asked of me before; so I'm not sure which record she verified it against.) I never received a letter regarding my rights on the loan; there are so many compliance issues with what has happened here. Furthermore, I am unable to get in contact with anyone outside a general Member Representative on the phone who explains that they cannot assist me.
