Durawest Construction Inc performed a re-stucco job at ***** ****** **** ** ** and the laborers reconnected a fixture incorrectly which created a dead short. And the owner Dave G******** denied to compensate me for the loss. He claims that we didn't notify him of the problem. Unfortunately, I didn't know the stucco repair were requiring to conduct any electrical operations to perform their duties and there was no way to reference this until the electrician discovered the fixture was incorrectly reconnected. The basis of Dave G******** wasn't allowed the opportunity to confirm the issue is invalid for obvious reasons. Attached response from Dave G********. Thank youBusiness response

Mrs. ******** did not give Durawest the opportunity to correct this problem. She did not contact us with this problem when it occurred, which we are always willing to take care of any problem or complaint when it occurs. Instead, she decided to call an electrician right of way which is her choice. However, not being given an opportunity to rectify the problem, it is unfair to demand the payment of this invoice. When she did notify us, after the fact, we offered to pay half to attempt to be accommodating. However, she did not accept this mediation. The correct thing to do in business, if you are unsatisfied with work completed is to contact the person whom you have agreed to do business with FIRST, and then if there is no satisfaction or if the problem is not solved, call another contractor to repair the problem. We were not given this opportunity. The "half" mediation still stands and we would be more than happy to mail to her the $50 check.Customer response
