We hired Pepe, as he is called, to do an addition to our house, along with several other repairs and maintenance. Things went fairly well until October of 2021, when he began to say he couldn't find materials, and would go weeks without showing up to finish the job. Several things he did on the addition are already broken or falling apart: The concrete he poured is cracked. The tile is popping up and the grout was never finished. The portal isn't finished with stain, the window/screens are coming out. The screen/front door has come off. The front door and entry way leak. The garage door leaks. His response to the leaks was, "I only get paid to install the doors, not make sure they don't leak." Concrete work is still not complete, is unlevel and causing other puddles and leaks. The radiant floors and thermostat zones are still not complete. The mini splits are not installed properly. The brand new shower leaks tremendously and he said he would call the glass company. I finally called them and he never has talked to them. And on and on and on. Several electrical things they installed are not to code. He promised us he would take care of permits with Santa Fe county then told me I need to do it and never came back to this job. He was here about 6 weeks ago to put up some boards on the portal and then just never came back to finish the rest of it. It will cost us over $12,000 at a bare minimum to get someone else to finish or fix what Pepe has left undone. We would settle for a $10,000 dollar refund, just to be done with this and move on. We have contacted Pepe repeatedly to get some answers or work it out, with zero response. We have also contacted Santa Fe county assessor's office to at least get the addition right with the county, but they said he still has to contact them about the permit situation.
