06/03/2024 I paid $1,900 to go toward an engine replacement and was told the engine would arrive in the next 10 business days. On 06/14/2024 I paid another $900 expecting the engine to arrive on 06/17/2024 (10 business days after 06/03/2024). On 06/17/2024 I called ********************* who did not answer so I left a voicemail. He later texted to tell me he would not be available until 06/24/2024. On 06/24/2024 I called ********************* and he did not answer so I left a voicemail. He texted me later to tell me the engine would be another 2-3 weeks. Wednesday, 06/26 I asked if I could track the delivery of the engine myself for peace of mind. He tole me "No it's from an importer. Doesn't work quite like that. I've used them for a long time". July 1st, I texted him asking if the engine will for sure be here in 2 weeks. No reply. On July 4th I left a voicemail and texted asking for more communication and asked that he get back to me in the next few days. **** became very upset that I contacted him on 4th of July. His hours on ****** said "open 24/7". Later that day, he told me he would begin the cancellation process on 07/05/2024 and refund my money. I left a bad review on ****** and Yelp and asked for consumer feedback on ******** and the NextDoor app. ********************* threatened to sue me for doing so. On July 5th, 2024 I called several times, texted, and left several voicemails. From that day forward, I have had to seek legal advice and was advised to only have documented conversations with him such as via text. **** is now refusing to answer my texts and I do not feel comfortable speaking with him on the phone without my lawyer present or without the legal right to record.Customer response

I spoke with my bank earlier today about my dispute. ******'s never did the work or provided me with any parts. However, we wrote a statement to my bank claiming he had.
