Nail-It Handyman sent an unlicensed plumber to make a repair in my home, which caused a water leak that damaged our basement ceiling. Another plumber had to be called to correct the problem, and he noted and confirmed that the repair had indeed not been done by a professional. The original charge by Nail-It, plus the additional repair work, plus the repair to the ceiling totals $4519 (all paperwork attached).Nail-It has never responded to any of my phone calls or emails, or acknowledged their culpability in any ****** addition:Nail-It has acknowledged to me that they screen their calls so as not to engage with customer complaints.Nail-It provided fraudulent information on their contract with me, listing an insurance carrier contract that in fact expired in 2021. They advertise that they are "Licensed and Insured", but this in fact may not be true. This behavior is certainly not that of a "Better Business", and I want to be compensated for their incompetence and dishonesty.Customer response

The work was scheduled to take place on Sunday 4/28/2024. When scheduling i was not asked specific questions regarding my ceiling - are things on it already that *** increase job time. I asked if the handyman would bring a vacuum for the dust, i was told yes. However my broom was the only item used to poorly clean up. I was promised that my ceiling would be completely done, it is not as you will see from the photos. I was told they warranty their work for one year but *** called over 8 times over the past 2 weeks and no one has called me back or addressed my concerns regarding the poor quality of the unfinished work. So please explain how the warranty works when Im unable to get in contact with the company, that is deception. I was misled from the start. This company was eager to get my credit card information for payment but failed to perform. And then I see a fraudulent charge on my card that I did not authorize. I paid my check in full in the amount of $660.80 with check # ***. But I was charged an additional $89 on May 1 as retaliation from the company because their scheduler promised me 120 off or 200 off depending if I did 3 hours as originally contracted or 5 hours if it needed to be longer. They lied. I spoke with ************************* to name a few. I was told **** the office manager would call me but he has been avoiding my calls and emailsCustomer response

I hired Nail It Handyman to complete work at my home based on my personal taste as this is my home. They did the opposite of everything I told them to do. In addition they tried to trick me by swapping brand new materials I purchased for old materials. They left work at my home incomplete and a complete messy disaster on my front lawn. I am looking for a refund as nothing was completed.
