Called to speak on a debit that was discharged through bankruptcy asked him if he could remove it as it was discharged. He stated no it wasn’t. I stated it was asked for a email he gave a fax number to fax to. Stated that he was going to have me arrested trying to use scare tactics. Called back left another message hasn’t called me back. Again harassment occurred and stated he was the business owner and I should go get a degree. Told him I’ve been doing collections for years and there are laws to fellow and he again said that’s a felony to say that. And I said no it’s not he hung upBusiness response

Sadly, this consumer has provided false information. At no point was he threatened, we did advise him since he was yelling and swearing to not contact our office in that manner or we would be contacting the police in reference to his harassment, he was told he was not welcome due to his behavior in contacting us and as he admitted he did anyway. The consumer is calling us in reference to a matter that has been closed since 11/22/21 and was reported closed to the major credit bureaus on 12/15/21. This matter has been discussed with the client that forwarded his information to us and we are all on the same page. In reference to any bankruptcy he filed, he would have an attorney that should be speaking with in regards to the matter as per policy all direct communication would cease and could continue with said attorney, he refused to provide that information to the owner. As far as a degree is concerned we again are unsure why the consumer has decided to provide false information. All we can say is this matter is closed, and has been for over a year. We would be more than happy to speak with the consumers attorney to provide them any information we can, but will not tolerate any of our workers or the owner for that matter being verbally abused and threatened by a consumer.Customer response
