I am writing to address a matter of utmost concern related to Volkswagen credit charging me $2000 for a down payment see exhibit x on the retail installation contract. The finance charge for the transaction was $1875.20, 15 U.S. Code 1605 clearly states cash comparable is not included when there is a finance charge $1875.20. Bayside Volkswagen charged a down payment of $2000 see exhibit x where it says down payment. 15 U.S Code 1662- Advertising of down payments and installments No advertisement to aid, promote, or assist directly or indirectly and extension of consumer credit *** state (1) that a specific periodic consumer credit amount or installment amount can be arranged, unless the creditor usually and customarily arranges credit payments or installments for that period and in that amount.(2) that a specified down payment is required in connection I was told by the dealer that a specific down payment of $2000 had to be made in order for me to get the extension of credit. That is a violation of 15 U.S. Code *********************************** the retail installment contract I did out of ignorance put down a down payment of $2000. I was told the only way I would get this car or the extension of credit was by putting down this down payment. After further reading and comprehending consumer laws advertising down payments and installments there is nothing in their language that says that they customarily and they usually arrange a specific down payment of $2000 for the extension of Volkswagen credit. As you can see all the documents that I have uploaded are all the documents that I received from Bayside Volkswagen. Bayside Volkswagen did not at any time give me the holders rule disclosure; there was no holders rule disclosure attached and there was no ********************************** Act information disclosed. So not only did they withhold the information I was also deceived into giving a down payment that was not customarily taken for the extension of credit.Business response

Good afternoon,
When I received a certified letter from ******************** I immediately pulled the file to determine the concern. I really did not understand what ******************** thought we had done incorrectly. Everything in the file was clear and concise. I came to learn that there had been a misleading social hack attempting to show people how to get out of a vehicle contract or to get the car for free. I forwarded the correspondence to our attorney and he responded to ********************. I have attached that correspondence for your reference. I assure you after decades in our community servicing the automotive needs of our community our goal daily is to provide transparent legal transactions and I am confident that is what we did here. I am more than happy to discuss with ******************** any concerns he may have. Feel free to call me Monday- Friday 9am to 7pm.
Sincerely,
*******************************

Our car has been at the dealership for service for over two months. The car is still not ready to be picked up. We have not had the car and have been paying $544 monthly for it. No one is giving us any information about when it will be ready. The person in charge of the service is *************************. It was promised for June 2nd and we are now in the second week of September. This is absolutely unheard of that ZERO work has been performed in the two months that my car has been sitting in service while I pay monthly for it to sit at this dealership unable to drive my vehicle. I want reimbursement for the months of my lease where the car was at the dealership. And a phone call.Customer response
