on 4/7/23 jeremy morrison and i signed a contract to paint my house, with **** premium stain for 2000.00 with 800.00 down and 1200 upon completion. on 6-23-23 i told him i want my money back because he was not living up to his obligations. always had some excuse why it was never done. he replied that he would give me a partial refund of 400.00 next week. on 7-29-23 he sent a text saying now he would give me back 300. well it is now 7-22-23 and had not heard anything from him. when he did send someone up to paint he started on railings, and not the house first, which anybody knows that you paint the house first then the trim. while the man was here he had the guy ask for more money on 6/19/23 of 200 for paint which is a breach of contract. also when the man came with paint it was the cheaper **** paint another breach of contract. also it was the wrong color that we wanted. was told by other painter that he has scamed other people with the same mo.

BBB spoke to Jeremy at the business and the following was relayed: The customer put $1,000 down. I purchased $800 worth of stain and had a guy out there for two days. The first day went great, the second day the customer complained that the worker was working too slow. I told him I would go out there on that Thursday. He wanted me out there before that but I had another job I was already on. The job was stopped 1/2 done. I did offer to refund the customer for the remaining stain but he would need to give it back. He kept it and returned it himself so he got the refund for the product himself.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  this person is a liar, only supplied 2- 5gal pails and 2- 1 gal pails of paint 5gal pails where 233.00 each and 1 gal was 49.98 each with tax only comes to 611.23. not 800.00 and as far as 1/2 done the guy only finished two railing on porch. house was not touched. and i know for a fact that he did not even pay the guy that worked for him. so all you get are lies from this guy, should not be allowed to scam people like this. the company that painted my house told me he has done numerous jobs that he has scammed people out of there hard earned money.  Regards,  ****** ********

BBB spoke to Jeremy and the following was relayed: The customer received 2 5 gallon buckets and 3 individual gallons.  That makes the material cost a total of $770.00. The customer also had his entire house pressured washed.  And we worked on the porch for 2 days.  My guy was paid, it is a lie to say that he wasn't. After a material cost of $770 that leaves me with $230 for labor costs.  The work that we did exceeds $230 in labor cost, he owes me money because the $1,000 he put down does not cover the material and labor costs that we put in.

Jeremy is a con artist he agreed to paint and do my upstairs bedrooms and floors (3 rooms and bathroom) and get extra supply for my home. I gave him $1820.00 total. $1300.00 for supply $20 for gas to go to **** ***** and $500 dollars down payment. He received $1020.00 in cash, and I **** *** him $800.00. He said he would do the work Saturday morning 4/8/23. However, he texts me at 10 pm Friday night 4/7/23 to tell him he can not come till Monday and asks me for another $500.00. I told him absolutely not, and I will pay him another 500 after painting and the other 500 after the flooring. He then started lying and saying he never got the 1020.00 from me. He only received 300.00 and 800 cash app. He knows that he received $1820.00 because he told me that he had no money for supply. I sent my brother with him to get the supply to make sure he wasn't going to rip me off. However, I got my supply, which he only paid 1150 or 1200 for. Thank God my brother took the supply home with him, or I would be out of the supply money, too. So now this guy has 600 or 650 of my money and has done absolutely nothing. This is a shame. I really thought he was a nice guy, but looks are deceiving. Beware of the guy Jeremy Morrison....he not a nice guy, and I will see him in court and I have copies of the receipts I so glad I go pictures and copies of his bogus paperwork

We hired Jeremy on November 7th to scrap the popcorn ceilings on our house and then fix and paint the ceilings and walls. We gave him $500 on November 8th, that he cashed that day. He was supposed to start on 7am on November 9th which turned into showing up at 10 am. He came with a tiny water bottle to spray over 1700 Sq of space. He worked 45 minutes and left to get more plastic. Came back and worked 1 1/2 hours and asked for the other $500 which I responded He would have to wait until my husband got home. Apparently that made him mad and he left and sent my husband text messages that we were not living up to the contract and he would see us in court. He came back and worked it out with my husband so we gave him another $500 which was cashed that day. Since he has our money, we have only seen him once for 2 hours over the next 3 days. Always tons of excuses and broken promises about workers coming to help him. He has spent a total of 6 hours at our home and hasn't completed any one task.

BBB spoke to Lee at the business and the following was relayed:The job was started, Jeremy was there for a day and 1/2. The customers were going to Florida and wanted Jeremy to work Saturday and Sunday and purchase the paint. The customer has only paid $1,000 instead of $1,700. Jeremy is willing to return and finish the job but the customer will have to pay for the paint prior. Before the customer left, Jeremy did offer to refund $300 and cancel the contract for them and requested his ladder. They left with his ladder in their home and he has been unable to use. He is willing to either return and finish the job as stated above or is still willing to refund the customer $300 and cancel the contract and retrieve his ladder.

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Regards, this is not acceptable.  He only worked a total of a little over 4hrs. Work that was done is totally unacceptable, we feel that a refund of $800.00 cash refund is reasonable. He supplied some plastic to cover the flooring and 4hrs worth of work MIGHT be worth $200.00 only. They ONLY thing that resolves this is $800.00 cash refund and he can have his ladder back at that time. ****** *****
