I placed a cake order from this bakery on 8/16/22 for an event on 10/08/22 and placed a deposit of $377.00. I changed my mind today, on 8/30, I no longer need the cake and based on their policy, I am due for a refund within 7 days of the ********* on 10/8. After much going back and forth with this unprofessional business owner, I was originally told a refund would not be possible, due to the mistake on the 3rd party website used to book and their misinformation on the refund policy. After hours of calling the 3rd party and the *****, the 3rd party stated it is up to discretion of the ***** to give me a refund. After finally being able to speak to the ***** again, she stated she could not refund my order, due to her need to pay her employees and the supplies she ordered for said cake. Also, during our interaction, she accused me of wanting to take my business elsewhere and that that was the reason I was requesting a refund. I explained that no, this is not my event and I solely cannot afford these services and that is why I am cancelling with over a month notice. stated I would pay for the supplies and asked for a pricing on how much was spent and in return was hung up on. I have been dealing with this since 10 a.m. and it is currently 5:30 p.m. After being hung up on and having all 20 phone calls minimum ignored, I get an email stating that my order was cancelled and I would be reviewing a refund of $227.00, to which I never agreed to and specifically stated I do not want the order cancelled unless it was for a full refund and for me to be informed first of what would occur. I never agreed to a refund less than the full amount of what I paid.
