My complaint pertains to false advertising. I replied to a contract opportunity ad on Indeed in December of 2021, interviewed with a mental health provider called "Choosing Therapy," and was offered a space in their provider directory. I was also accepted as a provider on their therapy platform. I promptly completed any and all applications and paperwork required to accept clients and insurance. However, I signed my contract on 12/23/21. It took this provider three+ months to process my materials and allow me to see clients. To date, I have received no client referrals and no reasonable responses to my fair questions, so I updated my profile in their directory to reflect my concern, and this complaint will stay on my profile until this situation is handled in a proper, legal manner.I believe that I am the victim of false advertising. The ad promised work. It didn't promise an unclear process with hidden and lengthy steps to take along the way before a therapist is approved. None of this process was outlined in the job ad. The job ad presented as though it was real. Furthermore, each time I inquired about delays and unclear processes on the part of Choosing Therapy, I have been ignored and my questions unanswered until I ask again.I feel set up to feed into a trap that makes me seem like a complainer when I'm really just seeking viable employment opportunities and not scams that bolster their practice to look like it's flush with therapists while they maintain a low client load. In other words, I doubt they have client referrals for me. For one, they never answer my question when I ask how many clients they have in my State. The entire affair has been misleading. Again, this is false advertising and not an employment claim. They contract their therapists and falsely advertise their services to bait them. I was never told it would be 3-4 months before I could make a decent living. That's misleading and does not represent good faith on the part of this provider.
