I hit a pothole took it to the body shop and reported it to my insurance. What we found was the ******* was sold to us with structural damage. The left rear spring broke off from the frame. The rust is so bad that it was determined the rust was there before we bought the vehicle. I have reached out to TimeBuyer corporate office and as it stands a meeting is much more important than reimbursement of all monies paid on this vehicle. The insurance company will not pay out on the vehicle. Travelers has stated TimeBuyer is held responsible and they need to give us back our money with interest and buy the vehicle back from us. We have spent a lot of money on a rental just so we can get our children to school, from school as well as us going to work. Please help we are at the end of our rope. The car fax and auto check shows Time buyer purchased the vehicle from an auction with structural damage and never disclose the damage of the vehicle to us. We want all of our money back with I teret and for Timebuyer to remove this vehicle off of our property.Business response

In response to the complaint from ***** let me first state that Timebuyer, Inc does not do the final
NYS inspection. All vehicles sold have the final NYS safety inspection performed by outside
vendors. This is to insure that a third party reviews the vehicle for final inspection before delivery
to the customer.***** & ****** purchased a 2011 ***** ******* ** with roughly 53,500 miles on 07/30/2020.
This vehicle came with the standard 60 day 3,000 mile warranty. ***** also purchased a 24 month
24,000 mile service plan that covers major engine and transmission failure only. Currently the
vehicle has 83,554 miles per the Travelers document. ***** put about 30,000 miles on the vehicle***** contacted the Cortland store on January 26, 2022 and asked for the corporate office
telephone number. Management meetings were going on at that moment but a supervisor called
her back on January 26, 2022 and left a message. A call was made to ***** again on January 27
and another on January 28. ***** returned our call on January 28. We offered to look into this
issue to see if we could help get the vehicle repaired. ***** wanted her money back.As stated above Timebuyer did not perform the NYS safety inspection when we sold the vehicle.
A third party inspection station did the final inspection and found no structural issues. If structural
safety issues were present then the vehicle would not have passed inspection. We also want to
point out that since the vehicle was purchased in July of 2020 ***** must have had the vehicle
inspected again in the summer of 2021. If the vehicle passed that inspection then no structural
issues were found at that time. ***** also stated that she had an accident which caused structural
damage to the vehicle. She also stated that she reported the accident to her insurance company.Timebuyer, in good faith, is still willing to help ***** resolve this repair issue. We are not a body
shop but we do have other repair shops that we partner with. We would like to try and get another
opinion on what it will cost ***** to repair the damage from her accident. If ***** is interested,
please have her contact our Cortland store (607) 299-4778 by February 18, 2022. We appreciate
***** as customer and hope that we can move forward from here.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. [
Good Afternoon,I contacted Timebuyer corporate office I never received a call from corporate they had the dealer call me. The dealer Bob was very aggressive during the phone call he refused to refund all money paid to time buyer for the *******. We are holding our monthly payment for the *******. We are in need of your help retrieving all monies we have paid to time buyer. We are truly sorry that ***** is having structural issues with their vehicle after the accident.
Timebuyer did not sell the vehicle with these issues as it would not have passed and independent
NYS safety inspection two different times.
We understand the position that ***** is in with the vehicle and the cost to get if repaired after her
accident. We understand what it is like to be denied a claim from an insurance company. *****
must realize the fact that they put roughly 30,000 miles on the vehicle since purchasing it on
07/30/2020. Timebuyer has no legal or moral responsibility for this repair caused by an accident.
Timebuyer has seen many cases where one repair facility feels that something is not repairable
while another facility does the repair at a reasonable cost. With that said we are still willing to help
***** resolve this repair issue. Ultimately this is *****’s responsibility but we would like to try
and get another opinion on what it will cost ***** to repair the damage and get the vehicle fixed.
If ***** is interested, please have her contact our Cortland store (607) 299-4778 by March 1, 2022.
We must also remind ***** that withholding payments on a car loan is not the answer as that will
have collection repercussions in the future.Business response

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Time Buyer keeps mentioning an accident which has nothing to do with them selling us a vehicle they purchased from an auction with structural damage. The structural damage occurred before we purchased the vehicle from Time Buyer we have proof that the vehicle is listed by the action with structural damage. It is really said this company continues to get away with deceiving customers. This matter is not resolved. Regards, ***** *********Customer response
