On June 14, 2022, Mayfair Power sent a service tech to assess the problem with our generator. Within less than 40 minutes, he told me a relay needed to be replaced...a $50 part. It was ordered and installed successfully on July 21, 2022 in less than an hour. We were not told at anytime that a service charge of $350 plus a $15 fuel surcharge would be billed for each visit in addition to the part and labor charges. I sent a check for $597.38 to cover Invoice #********** Customer#******* when it was received. This invoice itemizes the quoted job to remove and replace the start relay, the relay part and the fuel surcharge. This amount was in line with what I had paid for previous work two years ago. The two visits, labor and part should not total the $993.86 Mayfair is demanding. I am 81 years old and feel this is an egregious double billing charge directed at a senior citizen.Customer response
