We hired Flower City Tree to cut down, and flush cut the stumps, of three trees in our backyard. Flower City Tree arrived on time, but did not flush cut the stumps. When called to finish the job, they adequately flush cut two smaller stumps, but left a huge stump two plus feet off the ground for the third tree. When contacted about finishing the third tree, the company replied, over a very unprofessional phone call on their part, that there was metal in the tree and they couldn't cut it any lower. Upon our inspection, there does not seem to be any metal in the tree. We have asked the business to show us the metal in the tree, and we are more than willing to modify the contract if there is some in there. We understand that there could be unforeseen problems that the estimate cannot cover and want to work this out. However, if there is no metal in the tree restricting the company from finishing the job, we would just like the company to simply finish the job, and we will pay the original invoice in full. Flower City Tree refuses to send someone over to show us the problem, has continued to make more false statements about the job through emails over the last couple of months, and has now added on late charges to their original estimate.Business response

The stump has been completely taken care of, beyond the contract. Owner met with ***** this weekend and they both had a discussion and agreed all complaints would be removed.
