This company placed solar panels on my roof and disappear, have not been able to contact them. Phone number are disconnected, and to matters worse, I did not realize the amount of the cost of the solar panels. The program was not clearly explained to me and my husband. I dont know who to contact for maintenance or repair of the panels, was informed by the electrical company that they are not responsible for maintaining equipment, I need to be able to contact the company.Initial Complaint

BUYER BEWARE !!! I also selected "Solar Program" to install my Solar Panels & that was the biggest mistake of my life. They assured me that my roof was compatible to have the Panels on with no issues whatsoever. I did my due diligence however i forgot to check with the Better Business Bureau for accredited status. My installation around June 2021 & I found it rather odd they used heavy cinder block bricks to secure my panels in addition bolts that weren't secure properly to my roof. If I tugged on the setup you'd see holes in my roof that led to my ROOF LEAKS which I never had before. My contact person was ******* who used to return my calls & would send someone out to address the issue. On occasion they'd come out & slap some tar on my roof which didn't solve the issues. The panels seem to work however my issues are the leaks which are causing problems for my tenants who have furniture, appliances & other financial losses. I've called every number i have for ******************************* has yet returned my calls. I called the payment Company ****** who said they'd reach out to the **************************** would get back to me within 24 - 48 hours. I in turn said that's not helping me as my roof has issues now & this is a breach of contract! I pay my bill on time always by automatic deduction & if i don't a lien is put on my property ...... 2 weeks have passed & i finally am told that the ******************* has parted ********** out of luck, consult an attorney or another third-party Solar Company to rectify the problem! No other company is touch Solar Programs poor workmanship with a ten-foot pole. I'M lost & regret ever getting into any agreement with ******************************* with no resolution in sight. My roof in the meantime continues to deteriorate & no contractor will touch the solar panels. I would prefer them removed & restored to the original way it was.Initial Complaint

To Whom It May ******** I selected this company called: 'Solar Program' to install my solar panels because I noticed they were using the BBB logo on their marketing material and I was also excited about all the benefits and credits they promised me. They said, the solar panels cost $45,000 but I will get back most of it in tax credit and if there's a problem with the solar, they will come and fix it. They also offered me over $4,000 as a welcome for using their services. My panels are not working or they are not enough to supply sufficient energy. I tried contacting the company numerous times and they are not responding. Their website is no longer available and some phone numbers are not working and the ones that are working, I left several messages and received no response. I also sent them a few e-mails and received no response. I am currently paying $189.50 per month to the bank, plus my regular monthly payment to my electric company which is between $190.00 - $350 per month. I am paying over $500.00 some months between the bank that lend the money for the solar panels and my electric company. I really can't afford this and need some help. The bank said, they can't help me, because they already disbursed of the money. Also, Solar Program used one of my circuit breakers to attach the solar and I can't use my air conditioner. .Every time I put on my A/C it is stripping the breaker and shouting down my lights and A/C. I would like to have the panels working efficiently or to reimburse me in full. Please help me. Thanks in advance.Initial Complaint

Solar Program came to my home and said I would save money by going Solar. I have a two family home and requested Solar for both units. They installed solar panels in may of 2022. System was inspected by *** Building Inspector. Con ****** okd turn on. I found out only one meter was approved by con ******. I called and they sent someone from solar program to splice meters to one. To date I am paying not only my electric bill but also am paying tenants and a loan. I have stage 4 cancer and Im on a fixed income. Before Solar I paid ****** for electricity but now Im paying close to ****** a month. I tried calling the solar program but they disconnected their phones. If I dont hear from them soon I will be calling building department, state attorney general and my lawyer. My solar installation was not completed by Solar Program and Im being charged each month for solar loan through Mosaic. Im being made to pay the loan to Mosaic even though my solar panels are not working. I have tried to call Solar Program and no one answers. I spoke to *************** company regarding the loan and they said this has nothing to do with them since the installation was being handled by Solar Program. Hello,The below Solar company installed a solar system on my house in March 2022. Con ****** gave the final aporoval for the system to be up & running but I cannot get in contact with the Solar company. I am still paying the loan I had to take out for the system ($413.99/month). We had undergone a transition within the company over the course of the summer of 2022. This has been relayed over to ************** and we recently did have a team out there at her property to assess her solar system and made sure to provide her with our most updated contact information should she ever require any assistance or should she have any inquiries.Customer response

I cannot at this time determine if the system is working as it should. No team from Solar Program came out to my house recently. I turned on the system myself based on their instructions, when they reached out to me, the day after I emailed BBB. I will also not be satisfied until I receive the $30K check I am owed from Solar Program; to be paid Dec22/Jan23. I need this to pay off the loan I am currently paying @ $413.66/month. This loan was taken to cover the cost of the solar system with the promise that they will pay me back.

Based on our online monitoring system, Ms..******* ********************** system is fully operative and working. We planned our troubleshooting specialist, *************************** to physically come out to the property on Friday 11/18/2022. ************** did confirm over the phone for this date with ************** and he did show up physically to the property to check the system out, however upon arrival, nobody was home. We will attempt to send a specialist there once again to ensure there are no defects with ***************** ********************** system. Both a specialist and an office manager will be in contact with ************* to ensure this happens in the near future.As for the rest of ****************** claim, there seems to be a misunderstanding and we arranged the sales rep to clear it up. To clarify - for each homeowner who goes **********************, they are entitled to three separate checks that is equivalent to the total of the first 12 installments (first 12 Monthly paymens) of the **********************; all three checks were already sent to **************, the third and final check being mailed out earlier this month as of 11/3/2022.In addition to the checks, each homeowner is also entitled to three separate tax credits - a federal tax credit, a ************** tax credit and a ************* Property Tax Abatement. By years end, usually by the end of December, each client will receive an email attached with an invoice as proof of having the ********************** system installed at the property, as well as supporting documentation for each tax credit to be used to claim tax credits when filing with their accountant. The purpose of all the checks and credits is that once checks are cashed and credits are obtained, they are to be utilized by the homeowner towards the ********************** loan, and this way the savings will be realized.To clarify the mix up - all three checks plus the three tax credits total to roughly 30k. There isn't an actual 30k check. This was previously explained in detail to ************** multiple times before and we are more than happy to assist once more.Rest assured **************** will receive those documents via email by the end of the year, and we will continue to be in touch with her to ensure physically in person that there is no issue with her system. Date: March 2022 company installed solar panel on my roof. We got loan from GoodLeap. $41,500.00 for 20 years- ****% interest. Now 3 months already passed, we started pay our loan, but panel doesnt work. The owner of Solar Program said that solar was installed incorrectly. Almost every day during whole period from installation we have conversations with customer service and with bank. ****** care. We still in earlier position- project doesnt work, nobody fix it, we still pay to Conedison and Bank loan.Business response

We will have an assigned team come out to cover the repairs that need to be done. One of the office manager's will be in contact to arrange this. At the same time we also are awaiting a date from ConEdison for inspection. Recently it could take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get a date as there's been a backlog of jobs that need to be inspected by ConEdison and this scheduling is out of control. Nonetheless, we will be in cottage with ****************** with a date update as soon as we receive oneCustomer response

I was approached in **** to sign up to an appointment with Solar program ********** **.A representative *** told me about program and the benefits of it.One being,no more electric bills ,they will give me a check towards payment of the panels for the first 18 months,a government tax refund $16,000 for 2022-2023 tax, reduction in ** property tax for 4 years of amount $1900 per year.Panels would be paid monthly from a loan by Good Leap in amount of $45,000 .Panels were installed in late March 2022.There was to be 2 inspections by the city.The 2nd inspection failed ending of March 2022.I contacted them at ************ about fixing the problem,they said they will call and schedule a date.A week pass,2weeks,3weeks,and 7weeks,no answer from this company I left massages with their technical support ,I just got that some one would contact me ,which they never did.I decided to call ************ Good Leap spoke to ***** ****** ************,she was able to get a direct number to them ************, and I spoke to ****.He said someone would come fix the problem.That took another 1 and 1/2 weeks again having to call Good Leap because I wasn't getting any response when they would come.They came and fixed it after 8weeks,I ask if the problem was addressed and everything ok,they said yes.The second inspection was on June 6th 2022.The City failed it a second time for the same problem and another one.I have been calling ,7th,8th,9th,10th,and today 13th June 2022.Im only getting the answering service to leave a message.Im real frustrated and stressed out,and I also work at a hospital,so this a major problem the solar are not working yet.The loan on the panels started being paid on 24th of each month ,first was April,and we are still paying *** *********************.And the balance of funds the Solar program will give me towards the next 12 months,I can only get when panels are working.Only got these panels because I was approached in **'s.I need help to have panels working company is up to no goodBusiness response

Upon checking in with our operations manager, this repair happened earlier today June 14th. The issue should finally be resolved and we will be re ordering the inspection and based on our assessment he should pass this time around.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:My name is *************************** and I have a complaint against the Solar Program of ********** I'm a bit confused on what to do next,how long do I have to wait for the job to be done.Because they have been 3 months behind of having the solar panels working,and I am paying for loan of panels which the solar program have given 6 months payment towards the purchase and I'm waiting for the balance of funds towards the remaining 12 months which they said would be given once the panels are working.During this 18 months they give funds to pay the first 18 months.But at the same time I wasn't supposed to be paying a **** towards ********** electric company.Since they failed to have the panels working in the last 3 months because of failing the inspection for the same problems noted by the City.I have been also paying ********** electric **** for the last 3 months.So I'm paying 2 bills and the panels.If I accepted their response does it mean they would fix this problem in a timely manner,would it pass this time around ,and would I be refunded for the ********** electric bills.Because this his been a nightmare for me and my family with this Solar program company.If this is how my experience with this company started,how is it going to be when panels are installed and there is a problem,would I be without the service of these panels and have no electricity for me and my family,my mom ,wife and 2 kids.I got these panels in the first place because I'm a member o* *** ********* *****and it's because through them and believe that this company is reliable and I will have good working solar panels,and be able to become self-sufficient. Upon review with our man ager, ********* is failing the inspections here which is leading to this unusual type of delay. We've had our crew come out on multiple occasions to correct the issue and ********* still failed the inspection. From our installers work log, the issue should be fixed by now and should pass inspection. The most recent attempt was to have another inspection done on June 24th but nobody at ********** residence was available. At this juncture, we are aiming to reschedule that inspection for a date where **********'s would be available for inspection which should pass this time around based on information provided.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********* and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:It has been over 12months and the the panels Inspection has failed a forth time , Solar Program of Great Neck NY has not answered any calls,or messages .There is word that this company is claiming to be out of business.No one is getting in touch with me . This company has left me stranded,with work and inspection that still needs to be passed.I have been untouched withe the Department of Buildings and they said that the installers had to file a final cost affidavit with the Department of Building,but before this can be done the inspection of the panels on the roof has to be passed.I need help ,I'm a first time responder working at a hospital and when I signed up for these Solar panels ,where I was solicited in BJS stores , did not expect this shady service from a company like this.I need the roof inspection and whatever inspection that needs to be passed done,and for the Solar Program of Great Neck NY to file the final cost affidavit with the Department of Building.

I had Solar Program install panels in Feb/March. There were installation issues b/c the panels did not pass inspection. After calling the rep various times who sold them to me, to get help eventually stopped taking my calls. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and I got the major run around. They finally showed up to fix the problem, the inspector came and then left with no explanation! Literally, left me hanging and with no one to contact to reschedule the inspection etc. Of course, the loan company is now deducting the money from my account and I am yet to have the panels turned on! I've left 4 messages w/Solar Program and no return phone calls! This by far is my biggest purchase regret! There is no one to contact for assistance and no return phone calls! At this point I'm stuck with a bunch of panels that are not working and have not passed inspection! Can't even get a hold of ANYONE to get this scheduled either! I need this rectified asap otherwise I will look to legal counsel!Business response

We are in the midst of re ordering this inspection. We had a second date for June 8th but this date did not work out with the client. The office is open Monday -Friday 9am-5pm and during those times an office manager is available for any calls. At present we are awaiting a new date for inspection from ConEdison and we will keep in close communication with ************** to ensure it happens
