I am responding to the Complaint of *********************,  Complaint ID No. ********.   I represent T.J. Maxx ( TJX Companies ) in civil cases involving retail theft.  On or about October 12, 2023,  *************** employment as store associate with T.J. **** was terminated as a result of alleged merchandise theft.  On behalf of our client,  my office notified *********** of our client's restitution and civil penalty claims,  and my office received her payments as of July 8, 2024.  However,  as a result of an administrative office error, my office sent duplicate notices to her.  ********* stopped all collection activity after realizing the error.  At no time did we harass *********** or enagage in any scam or other fraudulent activity.   Nevertheless,  because of my office administrative error,   I apologize to *********** for any inconvenience it caused her.

      Respectfully Submitted,

My 14 yr old daughter got a citation for shoplifting in ********. We got paperwork and a date from the officer to attend a court date in August. The officer didn't mention anything about getting a letter- just to appear in court. I received a letter from ******* *************** today saying that he represents the business she was accused of stealing from. (** ******) The letter is pretty explicitly saying we need to pay his law office $250 to satisfy the civil claim.I'd like to know if this is legit or ******** because it looks like ******** to me. Please let me know how to proceed.
