      I called Feldman ***************************************** (FKM) for assistance via a legal plan I bought for FKM to assist me with an employment law issue. The lawyer assigned "****" said that he could not assist me with my employment matter. He said that he would have to assign external counsel at a reduced hourly rate with a 25% deduction. The lawyer that *** assigned is a PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER by the name of ***********************. FKM failed to assign a lawyer that could assist in my employment claim. I have filed multiple complaints and they will not even respond to my calls. FKM is a predator and commits fraud by failing to provide the contracted service.

      Good afternoon,

      ****************, who is a member of LegalShield, a legal services plan, initially contacted us on 1/6 on this particular matter and spoke to one of our attorneys very experienced in the area of law she wished to discuss.  He counseled her on that day and a plan was discussed for future communication after our customer received an agreement she was anticipating.  **************** called back on 1/10 and had an additional consult and was to provide a copy of a correspondence from her prior attorney withdrawing from her matter and enabling us to discuss her situation in depth or refer her to alternate counsel for her to retain.  She did so on 1/12 and, after another discussion, **************** was referred to a ** City attorney from our Referral panel who specialized in the area of law in question.    ******************** strategy was to reach out to the opposing party and see if she can work out a settlement but hold onto the referral attorney contact information in the event she could not settle the matter.      On 1/17, **************** called us back saying she had not yet heard from the referral attorney and our staff advised her that the protocol is for her to call the attorney if she wishes to consult with them regarding accepting her case.        It was then that she indicated that she believed the attorney did not handle the area of law she needed.   She was advised by our staff that the referral attorney given to her did indeed have expertise in the area she needed and that she should call him directly.     We reached out to that attorney and he advised that he had not received a call from *****************

      It is our sincere wish to always assist our Legal plan members with their legal issues.  That has earned us very high regard in the industry and it is why we have remained the exclusive provider attorney for LegalShield in the ***************** for over 25 years. Our attorneys remain ready and capable of providing **************** advice based upon many years of expertise in the area of law in which she needs assistance.   Additionally, the attorney she was referred to likewise is ready and willing to assist her as he too has expertise in this area.  She would simply need to call him to begin that process.   We take customer service and the needs of our clients very seriously.  If there is anything further we can do for ****************, we are more than happy to assist.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: 

       Feldman has not been helpful at all. I have a very limited employment issue to finalize my severance with my employer. Feldman is advertised as being able to offer employment law services. After speaking with a Feldman attorney, Feldman only offers service limited to DOCUMENT REVIEW ONLY. This limitation is NOT expressed anywhere for Feldman as a provider law firm. The referral made was for a PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER, ***********************. See attached link:

      When I spoke to **************, he said that he is a PERSONAL INJURY awyer. He referred ANOTHER attorney. How does Feldman get away with bait and switch? They advertise employment law services, but can only review a document. They cannot be an effective advocate for a consumer if they offer such a limited service. It is unfair and I lose because I still have no one to represent me to finalize my severance with my employer. It is a predatory practice to advertise a service that is not actually available.
