This company is the worst. They have terrible customer service and can't explain anything in ******** terms. I orginally called to take $ out and found out that it wasn't anything like what I thought it was & this has gotten me into a wild goose chase. I got this to help accumulate assets to provide income for retirement. What I got from foresters does not seem that this is the same thing as ****** ******** Varriabe annutity. I have asked that it be explained to me. My agent ***** got me this because it was the only one that would do medical, but she do not research it at all. I have asked for 2 illistrations 1 variable and 1 level to increasing for over 1 month. I have talked to 1/5/24 Maija, 1/9/24 moose, 1/17/24 moose, 2/8/24 *********, 2/9/24 ***************** 2/12/24, *************** & again 2/23/24 ********** They said I should get a call today 2/23/24 we shall see.Initial Complaint

I had made a visit to there website and immediately was was contacted by ******** and set up an inhouse appointment i was told many things upon sighning documents with the representative and one was i could use my benefitsimmediatly this was not true after a year went by i could to use my plan and was told no and that i should have read closer to my plan i would not have sighned if that was the cas i believe that it was just a way top have me payInitial Complaint

On 2/2/2024 I found out that there is a $100,000 30yr term insurance policy for me with Foresters Financial. This policy was opened 4/28/21 per Foresters rep named *******. ******* also informed me that ******************* was the agent that set up the policy. I explained to ******* I did not set this policy up and need it cancelled, and would like to hear the call with the rep ******************** which is also affiliated with another company Group health and wellness. I spoke with ****** back then but I did not set up a policy. I remember telling ****** I needed to speak with my husband. I did not talk with ****** again. My husband *************************** was on the phone as well when I spoke *******. We asked ******* for the policy #, and a copy of the signed policy. ******* stated it was sent to ******************** (husband's email), in order to get a copy I have to pay $25, in order to cancel this policy and listen to the calls we had with Little I have to send a copy of my drivers license with a written letter. ******* stated he does not have the policy documents and he does not remember setting up this policy with ******. I then stated since Foresters is stating I sent up this policy shouldn't a picture if my drivers license already be on file? ******* stated, they do not have a copy of my license on file which is why I have to send it. I do not agree with paying to see an electronic signature, nor do I agree with sending a copy of my ID. The last time I set up an insurance policy 20+ yrs ago I had to show my ID before the policy was created. Another concern of mine was when ******* stated that this policy would have been set up in person because they can't setup a policy over the phone it has to be in person. Little has never been to our home so how was this policy set up? I did not do an electronic signature, nor did I give the ok for any to sign my name on any document to do business with Foresters. I want calls pulled, and policy cancelled without sending a copy of my ID .Initial Complaint

I've been paying Forester for sometime now. I wanted to close out my insurance with them and receive my cash value. I filled out everything they sent me to fill out and send back, emailed it also faxed. I even had a professional that sales insurance help me with what was needed. I sent proof of my certificate and paperwork they ask for, this was December to January. ******** said they didn't receive some paperwork did it again. The bottom line is the prolonging the process so I can owe money to them and they can keep my cash value. I have the proof I've been paying them and that I sent everything they ask for. Now they sent me a paper talking about I want a loan, that's not even what I ask for I wanted to leave them and receive my cash value, I'm up in age I believe they did this to a lot of people please help me get my money from these crooks. I've been cancelled my policy in December they're dragging so they won't have to pay.Initial Complaint

In August of 2023 I cancelled a life insurance policy I had on my brother, I downloaded the forms and sent them to the company. In September 2023 I received a letter saying I needed to send a letter of surrender which I did and faxed to the company on September 24, 2023 along with a copy of my drivers license. Early October I was told that the check was sent to an old address (a building that had burnt down a few years prior) even though my license had my current address. I was told a check would be overnighted the following Friday. A week later no check, was then told I would receive in 10 days (no check), told another 10 days (no check), In November I was told that because of thanksgiving it would be late. Monday December 4th I called and was told I would receive it at the end of the week. Today December 8th I still have no check. I was told the check was in the amount of $2556 or around there. I am tired of the runaround and want my money. I was never late paying the premiums so I dont understand why the wont refund what I am owed. Any help you can give would be appreciated.Initial Complaint

I cancelled a life insurance policy with them in April and the payments were supposed to be stopped. I went through their whole process and was assured it was cancelled. They have drafted the payment continuously since I cancelled in April and will not reach back out to me after multiple attempts. Im out $750.33 cents and they will not stop the drafting the payment.Initial Complaint

I called this business about the 2 policies that I have on my grandbabies. Its always a issue with them if its gonna be a issue they can refund me for every dam dime they ever took from me from start to finish. The policies I have are ******* and ******* this company is strictly unprofessional and doesnt give a dam about customers just taking their money.Initial Complaint

Insurance started 06/2023 they started deducting out my check account with no forewarning, 06/23/23 but hadn't even told me I was approved or deductions were going to start. Red Flag, I tried calling right after no one ever called back. I finally speak to someone on 7/26 and was told to send an email stating I wanted policy terminated and premiums refunded in which I did and still no response. After about 2 weeks of yet no response I call back to customer service and was then advised oh you did it wrong you didn't sign , you need to fax in form, I faxed form back 8/16,. Fast forward to today 9/12 no response, I call and now being told still processing request but only for $6 out of $728 deducted out my account.Initial Complaint

I was told multiple times in written email and over the phone, by multiple people, that I would be refunded for the positive net value of my account for $384. One representative I spoke with, told me that this is incorrect and refused to further my case. She also refused to provide me any recorded calls were they stated I would receive a refund. When purchasing the policy, I was misinformed on what type of policy it was in the original sales agent lied to me. Upon finding this out I tried to cancel the policy as quickly as possible.Customer response
